Napakunot ang noo ni King Froy at bigla ako natakot para sa buhay ko. Malamang kasi nito ay bigla niya ako ipadakip sa mga guards na nakatayo sa labas ng kwarto. And the possible disrespect I committed now could result to the King punishing me to death.

The very thought of unable to go home and even dying before I could even accomplish my mission left me in a state of dread. Napapaisip na lamang talaga ako hanggang kailan ko nga ba dapat iligtas ang mga pitong lalaking ito?
Until when must I endure everything before this mission ends?
Sa dami ng biglang bumabagabag sa isipan ko ay hindi ko na namalayan na bigla na lamang nagsalita si King Froy, and it was totally the opposite of what I had anticipated.
"It's not like I am forcing it to you, Giezelle. Marry me and I can guarantee the duke's safety. Make your choice." saad niya.
Seryoso ang tingin sa akin ni King Froy, leaving me no room for doubt. "Please let me think about it, your majesty. I need to think about it."
Nang masabi ko naman ito'y hinayaan ako makawala ni King Froy. Agad ko naman kinuha ang pagkakataon na ito upang mabilis na lumabas mula sa silid niya.
Labis ang ginhawang nadama ko nang makalabas ako sa kwarto ng hari. Animo'y parang may tinik na nabunit sa dibdib ko at nakahinga na din ako ng maayos.
Wala naman akong sinayang na oras matapos ko makalabas. Sa isipan ko ay wala na akong oras pa upang magdesisyon kung magpapakasal ba ako sa hari upang mailigtas si Duke Lorkan.
Kinakailangan ko makapunta kung asan siya at mapigilan na mamatay siya. Hindi ko alam papaano ko gagawin pero kailangan ko makarating doon sa kahit anong paraan. Kung kaya naman ay dagli ko hinatak ang mga paa ko upang makalabas ng palasyo, ngunit hindi pa man din ako tuluyang nakakalabas sa may tarangkahan nang bigla na lamang ako hinarang at hinatak ni Stannis.
"My lady, just where do you think you're going?" tanong niya sa akin habang hawak ng mahigpit ang kanang braso ko upang di ako makatakas.
"Let go of me, Lord Stannis. I needed to go somewhere." I replied. Hindi ko pwed sabihin na papunta ako sa kinaroroonan ni Duke Lorkan, I could only tell he would certainly prevent me had he known of this.
However, I was surprised that despite not telling him the truth of why I needed to go, the new prime minister seemed to be fully aware of my plans.
He smirked and it was pretty obvious he could read through my eyes. "I don't think I could ever allow you to leave the palace grounds, my lady. You're now under our responsibility. Should there anything happened to you, the kingdom of Asnador would have to pay the prize for it. Knowing how your father behaves, we couldn't risk another rebellion if you get harm."
I struggled to get rid of his grip on my arm. "I am not trying to put myself in danger, Lord Stannis. So Please, Let me go." I lied.
Subalit, basado naman agad ni Stannis ang nasa isipan ko. "Do you really think I don't have any idea that you're headed to where the duke of Kahoma is? Come on, my lady. You surely aren't thinking I was naive not to know that."
"So what? The duke of Kahoma is my betrothed. I needed to make sure my fiance is well and alive."
"The duke of kahoma can handle himself very well, there's not a thing that should worry you at all. However, if I allow you to move passed the gates, how can we assure that you could even make alive before finding Duke Lorkan? The world beyond these gate could be very dangerous, my lady."
"I don't care. I've seen worst of danger more than what you can imagine. And If I don't go and the duke of kahoma dies, there'd be more danger that would befall this world."
Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Lord Stannis mula sa sinabi ko. Marahil ay hindi niya inaasahan na iyon ang magiging tugon ko sa sinabi niya. Subalit sa pagkakataong ito'y wala na akong choice kung hindi ang magpakatotoo sa mga nalalaman ko.
However, in spite of telling him the truth, I was totally disappointed that Lord Stannis was not the least bit convinced. His mind was close to the possibility of what I just told him and in this case, there was no more for me to be able to escape the palace grounds anymore.
"You better behave, my lady. I'm a very patient man, but—" The prime minister lured his face before my left cheek and took a quick sniff against my skin, "—being a man who was being tested by someone as attractive as you, my lady, I may not be able to guarantee until when I could hold myself from touching you. You should be thankful that the king was eyeing to have you as his bride, for if not, you might have already ended in my bedchamber, spoiled and punished under my control."
Mabilis ko siya tinulak papalayo sa akin dahil sa pagkaasiwa sa narinig ko. "Let go, Lord Stannis. Before I couldn't hold myself and have your tongue for trying to disrespect me." tugon ko sinabi niya.
Once more, the prime minister made a seductive grin and told me, "Then, do yourself a favor and go back to your room, my lady. The king would be expecting to hear an answer to his proposal on you very soon. Don't make him wait, as the king is quite impatient." He said making me astounded as to how he was able to know all of that.
Perhaps, Lord Stannis could be eavesdropping that entire time, or probably, sinabi ni King Froy sa kanya ang plano niya even before I could arrive here in Asnador.
Following that, Lord Stannis waited for me to retreat back to my room. Wala akong nagawa kung hindi sumunod na lamang dahil na rin ayaw ko na makita pa si Stannis.
Being heavily guarded inside my room, all alone, it made me even more anxious what could have possibly happened to Duke Lorkan right now. Hindi na ako mapakali dahil habang andito ako at walang magawa, may possibilidad na maaaring napakahamak na si Duke Lorkan.
Alam kong malakas ang Duke ng Kahoma. He had never faced any defeat before, but I could never deny the fact that it was already written in the original plot of this novel that Duke Lorkan would perish.
Hindi ko alam sa kung anong paraan pero mapapahamak pa rin si Duke Lorkan kahit anong lakas at galing pa niya sa pakikidigma at iyon ang kailangan ko na mapigilan na maganap.
Which was why I made the boldest decision to meet with King Froy again.
"What brought you to my chambers this late, Giezelle?" ang tanong ni King Froy sa akin habang nakaupo siya sa may desk chair.
Looking at him while mustering the courage I have left, I eventually answered him the decision that I know, I would certainly regret later on particularly when I told the king, "I've decided, your majesty. I want to marry you to save the Duke of Kahoma. So please, help me save him."
