"Any word from the clave?" Izzy asks as she Lydia, Magnus, Leya and Alec walks through the Ops Center.
"Not yet, and we've been trying for the past four hours. Something's up." Lydia tells her.
"Mmm, the clave being unhelpful? Who's shocked? Show of hands?" Magnus asks.
"Magnus, enough." Leya tells him.
"I'm worried. I can't sense Jace through our parabatai bond." Alec says.
"We'll find him, Alexander." Magnus tells him.
"When we arrested Hodge, he said Valentine was on a ship. They must still be over water." Izzy says.
"Pull up the waterways around New York." Lydia tells her and Izzy pulls up the hologram waterways from the table.
"The ship couldn't have gone too far." Izzy says.
"Anything?" Alec asks Magnus.
"Sorry." Magnus tells him.
"There's got to be something!" Alec exclaims.
"I don't see him." Magnus tells him.
"All right. Listen up! I want 24/7 monitoring of the Hudson and East Rivers. If you see anything unusual, you come to me first." Alec says as he walks around the table and talks to the rest of the Shadowhunters in the room.
"I've got this, Alec." Lydia tells him.
"Then why haven't you found Jace yet?" Alec asks her as he walks closer to her.
"Don't forget who you're talking to. I am still the head of this institute." Lydia tells him.
"And my brother is still missing!" Alec exclaims to her.
"Alec, I'm worried about Jace too but this isn't the way to it." Leya tells him as Izzy walks over to Alec.
"Why don't you just take a break?" Izzy asks Alec.
"Not now, Izzy." Alec tells her.
"Isabelle's right, and it's not a request. You're dismissed." Lydia tells Alec.
"Fine!" Alec exclaims and then turns to leave as Magnus rushes towards him.
"Hey..." Magnus says to him as he grabs his arm and Alec yanks it out of his grip.
"Everybody, just back off!" Alec exclaims and then walks away.
"I'm going to meet Clary and my mom." Leya tells Lydia and then heads towards the garden. ••• "Mom." Clary says as she and Leya come running into the garden.
"My sweet girls!" Jocelyn says as she turns around and hug her daughters.
"I never thought I'd see you again." Clary tells her and then they all pull away from the hug.
