"Sorry to interrupt. But Alec is about to make an announcement." Leya says as she walks into the room where Jace and Sebastian are sitting in talking and then leaves. ••• "We've lost seven of our own, but we can't allow a single, radical Seelie to define the entire Downworld, any more than we can allow Valentine to define all Shadowhunters. So, to restore unity with our allies, I will be hosting regular Cabinet meetings here with the Downworld leaders of New York." Alec announces.
"I'm all for unity. But does he have to bring them here?" Lindsay asks to the Shadowhunter next to her.
"What do you expect? He's dating a warlock." he tells Lindsay.
"Still can't believe Alec Lightwood is in charge." Lindsay tells him.
"Just wait. In a week, it'll be someone else." he tells her.
"Hey. Show some respect." Izzy tells them as she holds Leya back.
"Let me go Iz." Leya whispers to her.
"Just wait until Alec's done then I'll let you at them." Izzy tells her and Leya nods.
"Please, let's make the Downworlders feel welcome." Alec says and then walks down the steps.
"Now." Izzy tells Leya as she lets go and Leya runs over to the man and roundhouse kicks him and he falls to the floor unconscious and then she tackles Lindsay and punches her repeatedly breaking her nose in the process and then Jace rushes over to her and pulls her up and holds onto her wrist as Alec comes over to them.
"Look at you. In charge for a week, you're already shaking things up. I think this Cabinet thing is a good idea." Jace tells him as Izzy walks over to them.
"Yeah, I'm not sure everyone agrees." Alec tells him.
"All the more reason to do it. How can I help?" Clary tells him.
"Actually I need you Leya and Jace for a mission. You're going to the Seelie Court." Alec tells her.
"Not there. Can you let go?" Leya groans out as she tries to remove her hand from Jace's grip.
"Not until I know you won't attack anyone else." Jace tells her and Leya huffs.
"Where is that?" Clary asks.
"The nearest entrance is in Central Park. But it's in another realm. Where the Seelie Queen lives." Izzy tells her.
"I requested an audience with her to discuss Kaelie's crimes. But she said she'll only meet with Valentine's experiments." Alec tells them.
