"I've requested that we move Valentine to the Gard in Idris. The calve has approved the transfer." Alec tells them as he Sebastian, Izzy, Leya and Jace stand around the table.
"You told them about the assassination attempt?" Jace asks.
"No. I explained to them that moving Valentine out of the city is the best way to restore relations with the Downworld. I left Luke out of it." Alec tells him.
"It is the right decision." Sebastian tells him.
"But we have not given up on finding who orchestrated the hit on Valentine." Alec tells them.
"I actually have a few leads on that. I'll get a report in by the end of day." Sebastian tells him and then walks away.
"Great. Izzy, you'll be leading the transfer mission. Jace, Leya, you will assist." Alec tells them.
"We need to remove Valentine's circle rune. The new wards in Idris won't let him pass with it on. Jace, Leya do you want the honors?" Izzy says.
"Thought you'd never ask." Jace tells her.
"It'll be my pleasure." Leya tells Izzy and then Izzy and Leya walks away. ••• "We're transferring Valentine to Idris tonight. Aren't you glad to be a part of this mission?" Izzy says to Leya as they walk into her room.
"Hell, yeah I am." Leya tells her and then Izzy grabs her hand, and they sit on her bed together.
"I know this isn't any of my business, but after what you and Jace just went through, maybe you should go talk to him." Izzy tells her.
"No. I can't. Not yet, I've asked Clary to help with Simon and I can't talk to Jace until I know he's going to be okay. He found out the truth inside the Seelie Court and not from me." Leya tells her.
"Leya, Seelie magic might trick you, but it's always true you know this." Izzy tells her.
"I know." Leya tells her.
"I know it's confusing. But your allowed to have feelings for two people at the same time. It doesn't make you a bad person." Izzy tells her.
"No, it just makes me a bad ex-girlfriend." Leya tells her and then stands up and walks into her bathroom. ••• "Is that tight enough? That's better." Jace tells Valentine as he and Leya tighten his hand straps and then Jace walks over next to her and brings out the device that will remove Valentine's circle rune.
"Go ahead, Jace. It's not going to stop me. It's not some rune that makes us who we are. It's our blood. And yours, my boy, is exceptional." Valentine tells Jace.
"Because you experimented on me. On my mother. Why? Why her?" Jace asks.
"Sweet Celine. She wanted a child so desperately. When she and Stephen learned that she was pregnant again, with you, she was terrified that she was going to lose her baby. So, she came to me, asking for help." Valentine tells him.
"And I'm sure you were happy to oblige." Jace tells him.
"The injections I gave your mother, laced with Ithuriel's pure angel blood made you strong. After her tragic death, after I pulled you from her womb, barely alive, I raised you to use that blood. I taught you..." Valentine tells him but Jace cuts him off.
"You taught me not to feel. You taught me that to love is to destroy, and to be loved is to be the one destroyed." Jace tells him.
"And you've proven how right I've been all along. Look at you. Your love for Leya, it will be your downfall." Valentine tells him.
"You're wrong." Leya tells him as she steps next to Jace.
"Don't you dare bring her into this!" Jace tells him.
"She is as much a part of this as you are." Valentine tells him.
"Have at it." Jace tells Leya as he passes her the device and one of the people in the room strap down Valentine's head to the back of the chair and Leya turns on the device and then holds it to his circle rune. ••• "The transfer is set for 0200. Jace, arm up the transport team. I want everyone carrying additional weaponry. Leya, prepare Valentine's restraints. The rest of you secure the perimeter. Dismissed." Izzy says as she gives out orders to her team and they all go their separate ways. ••• "Simon..." Leya says as she walks into her room and sees him standing there.
"Sorry. Izzy said I could wait here for you." Simon tells her.
"Of course. I just have to go soon I'm helping with Valentine's transfer." Leya tells him.
"This hasn't been easy for me. I mean, I thought dying was bad. This is way worse." Simon tells her.
"I'm so sorry you found out that way it was never the way I planned to tell you." Leya tells him.
"That night on the Promenade, when we first kissed, we made a vow. Remember?" Simon tells her.
"Of course I do. We promised to always be friends. No matter what happens." Leya tells him.
"I'm a man of my word. When I make a vow, I uphold it. I can't imagine a world without you in it, Fairchild." Simon tells her.
"Me neither." Leya tells him.
"But I need time." Simon tells her.
"Of course, take all the time you need. Just don't push those trying to help you away." Leya tells him.
"I won't. I'm not sure how much time I'll need." Simon tells her.
"Whenever you're ready I'll be here." Leya tells him.
"Thank you for sending Clary." Simon tells her.
"You're welcome." Leya tells him. ••• "Valentine Morgenstern, by order of the clave, you are hereby remanded to the Gard in Idris." Alec tells him as Izzy, Jace, Leya and the rest of the team stand in front of Alec and Magnus with Valentine shackled in handcuffs and chains and then Magnus creates a Portal.
"I may be in a cell, but at least I'll be in Alicante...where the air doesn't reek of Downworlders." Valentine tells them.
"Get him out of here." Alec tells them and then Izzy, Leya and Jace walks through the Portal first with the others following them.
"Where's the prisoner?" Dieudonne asks as they all watch every member of the team except for Ducan and Valentine exit the Portal.
