"Did he say anything?" Jace asks Alec as he and Leya walk over to him as he stands outside Jonathan's cell.

"No. Underhill's been questioning him about the Morning Star Sword, but he refuses to speak to anyone...except Leya." Alec tells them and they look at him before looking back at Jonathan as he looks at Leya.

"Let me in." Leya tells them.

"Leya, if you get any closer to him, you're only going to strengthen his power over you." Jace tells her.

"Not as long as you're here, I'll be fine." Leya tells him.

"Then right here is where I'll be." Jace tells her and then Leya walks over to the door of the cell and walks in when the door opens for her and she turns to look at Jace as the guard walks in and removes his mouth guard then walks out as Leya turns to look at Jonathan.

"Don't worry. I won't bite." Jonathan tells Leya.

"Where's the Morning Star Sword?" Leya asks him.

"I missed you too." Jonathan tells her and Leya walks to the other side of him.

"Where is the sword? We know it's capable of opening a rift into Edom. Is that why you want it? To release demons?" Leya asks.

"It's a Morgenstern family heirloom. It belongs in the hands of its rightful owners. Us. Your boyfriend is keeping an awfully close eye on you, isn't he? Do you think he feels guilty about leaving you alone at the roller rink?" Jonathan tells her as he looks at Jace.

"I'm not here to chat, Jonathan. If you're not going to answer my questions, we're done here. Have fun in the Gard." Leya tells him and then walks towards the door.

"Wait. I'll tell you everything you want to know...if you just stay here a little longer." Jonathan tells her and Leya stops walking and turns around to face him.

"I'm listening." Leya tells him.

"I didn't even know where you were, Leya, until not so long ago. I'd been in Edom for what felt like an eternity. That was the first time I ever heard your name. Cataleya Morgenstern. It was like music to my ears. I felt something that I had never felt before. Hope." Jonathan tells her.

"This has nothing to do with the sword." Leya tells him as she crosses her arms.

"Of course it does! That moment changed everything for me. I realized that you were the only person that I needed. I felt it. Finally, I had someone to fight by my side. Not against me. Not in spite of me. But with me. Everything I do, I do for you. I want the Morning Star Sword for you. For us." Jonathan tells her.

"You're hiding something." Leya tells him as she leans onto the wall.

"I'm not." Jonathan tells her.

"You don't want me to know what your plan is. It'll make me hate you." Leya tells him as she walks over to him.
