"I've been through all the Institute archives, and there's no record of a Greater Demon that matches this one. I don't know what else to do. Ithuriel said the Owl has a master. This has to be who it is, and...it's powerful enough to kill an angel. I have to let everyone know." Leya tells Luke on the phone as she paces in her room.

"You do that, and it unravels everything about Raziel and the wish." Luke tells her.

"I don't care if the clave locks me up, Luke." Leya tells him.

"Well, I do. And what about Jace? He carried that same lie. He'll be in trouble just like you." Luke tells her.

"And the last thing he needs is for his treatment to be interrupted." Leya tells him as she sits down on her bed.

"Jace! It worked! It's so good to have you back." Leya tells Jace as she runs up and hugs him and he hugs her back with one arm.

"It's good to be back." Jace tells her and Leya grabs his hand and pulls him to the side.

"A lot happened while you were gone. We need to talk, but not here." Leya tells him and goes to head in the direction of her room, but Jace pulls his hand free and Leya turns to look at him.

"We can talk later. I want to get caught up in the Ops Center." Jace tells her and goes to walk back into the Ops center.

"Jace?" Leya asks and he turns back to face her.

"Yeah?" Jace asks.

"Are you sure you're, okay?" Leya asks him.

"I'm great. We'll talk later, okay?" Jace tells her and then walks away and Leya watches him with a confused look.

"It all happened so fast. I wish I had gotten a better look at it so I could describe it better for Clary to draw." Leya tells Magnus as he looks at the piece of paper with the demon drawing on it.

"I've seen a lot of demons in my day, but...never this." Magnus tells her.

"The last thing I remember, it's claw touched my chest. I'm still unsure why it didn't kill me." Leya tells him.

"Powerful demons often leave an imprint, traces of their unique energy. If I can tap into the spot where it made contact with you, perhaps we can get a better sense of what we're dealing with." Magnus tells her and Leya pushes her hair behind her shoulders and takes a step closer to Magnus and he uses his magic.

"What is it?" Leya asks.

"This energy signature, it's...the same as the one that corrupted the ley lines. It seems that we're chasing the same demon." Magnus tells her and then writes a fire message and throws it to the side of Leya's head.

"What are you doing?" Leya asks him.

"I'm sending a message to an old contact. He has access to information far beyond my resources. Hopefully, he's willing to help us...identify the beast." Magnus tells her.
