"Whoa! This is the weirdest place I've made out with someone." Leya tells Simon as they canoe rocks that they're lying in making out.
"Are my fangs in the way? Because I can totally, um..." Simon asks her.
"No, you're fine. It's just the small space of the canoe." Leya tells him.
"Yeah." Simon agrees.
"Ow!" Leya grimaces as she hits her head on the canoe.
"Ooh, careful. Oh, I'm sorry." Simon tells her and they both laugh as they kiss.
"I cannot believe I let you talk me into this after telling you about my past relationship ending badly." Leya tells him.
"Me neither." Simon tells her and then leans down and kisses her and then the canoe rocks again.
"Oh!" Leya exclaims.
"It's okay. I got you." Simon tells her.
"Oh, fantastic. We'll just go down together then." Leya tells him.
"Well, I mean...I'm pretty sure this thing is untippable." Simon tells her as he rocks the canoe.
"Yeah?" Leya asks.
"Yeah." Simon tells her.
"Let's prove it." Leya tells him and then flips them around.
"Oh! Okay..." Simon says as he lays on his back and then helps Leya takes off his shirt and then she leans down and kisses him and then an air horn blows, and they pull away to see Jace down on the floor.
"Jace. Hey." Simon says.
"What the hell are you doing? I...you know what? Don't answer that." Jace says as he looks up at them and then Leya goes to get out.
"Here you go." Simon tells Leya as he helps her and then he jumps down first and then Leya.
"Jace, it's okay. I'm safe here with Simon." Leya tells him and then Jace bends down and picks up Simon's shirt then tosses it to him.
"Until Valentine stops hunting you and Clary, the only place your safe is the institute." Jace tells her.
"Really? I'm not sure you actually know how hiding works. The whole point is to, um, not be where everyone thinks you are. Trust me. I'm kind of an expert." Simon tells him as he puts his shirt on.
"For an expert, you were pretty easy to find. Just be thankful I got to you before the circle did." Jace tells him.
"I'm not afraid of them. I've been working on my fighting skills." Simon tells him.
"Oh, really? You want to take this outside and give these fight skills a test run?" Jace asks as he scoffs.
"Anytime. As soon as the sun goes down." Simon tells him and then heads for the door but turns to face Jace when he sees its light outside.
