I boredly lie on her couch as I check my long nails. Maybe I should have them changed, huh?
"Ihatid mo'ko mamaya, doon ako magi-stay." I requested that made her stop.
Sinamaan niya ako ng tingin. "Paano ako rito?" She exclaimed.
Tumawa ako. "As if I don't know what's happening, doon na ako at para magkatao ang unit ko. I can visit here if you want me to."
"May itinerary pa tayo! We'll do that after you're settled in your unit. Ihahatid kita later!"
I coaxed her to open it. She was glaring at me lately but when she saw the palletes and various acrylic paints, she smiled.
Nangingiti niyang sabi.
"I'll paint for your newly bought condo, a gift!"
I smiled. Ginulo ko ang buhok niya. She's been through a lot. My very brave Mizuki. I can't let anyone hurt my friends. I don't want them to suffer alone anymore, kaya sisiguraduhin kong nandito ako palagi para sa kanila.
Hinatid niya ako sa condo. I wanted her to stay but she insisted she'd paint this night para mapalitan ko raw ang iilang paintings na nakasabit sa living at dining, hindi ko na napigilan. Masyado siyang excited eh.
Maaga akong gumising. It's a very cold day in Switzerland. I waited for the sun to rise. And when it did. . . the rays of sunshine struck on my whole unit. The cold vanished and replaced with warm. The horizon looked enthralling.
I cook breakfast. Just a pasta I learned from Isadore. I called Isadore to ask for the steps since I was indecisive of continuing it. . . sayang naman kung itatapon ko ang iba.
We work overnight for years, he cooks for us.
"Cosa posso farti, mia signora?" He smirked through the call. He's also on vacation.
"Talk to me in English. You should adjust, you know! I'm tired of speaking Italian.
He chuckled. "Yeah, alright. As you wish. You probably missed me, you called?"
"What a delusion. Drink your meds." I chuckled.
He arched a brow. He has blue eyes and narrow nose. But he has this soft feature that makes him look innocent and friendly.
"Teach me how to cook pasta. I forgot the steps, goodness." I showed him the pasta on the pan.
I saw him smirked. "Cooking for someone?" He guessed.
I switched the front cam and made a face to him. "For myself," I shrugged.
He taught me how and after that I ended the call.
I tasted it and for the first time, I felt proud I almost copied how Isadore would do it.
I heaved a sigh and smiled to myself. Sana naman tanggapin niya. I made effort.
