"Let's eat," Eron went to me.
Lumabas kasi ako saglit kasi hindi ko rin alam. Naninibago ako sa ingay sa loob. Nagkakasundo si Isadore at Miz kaya tawa sila nang tawa.
Nakahanda na ang pagkain sa dining nang nakarating kami. Papalapit palang ako, nauna na si Eron na ipaghanda ako ng upuan kasabay rin ng paghigit ni Isadore ng upuan sa tabi niya.
They looked at each other. Isadore is confused and Eron only gave him a glance and looked back at me, hinihintay akong maupo sa hinanda niyang upuan para sa'kin.
Napatingin ako isa-isa sa kanila. They were expecting me to take the seat. Si Isadore ay nasa kabilang banda pa at si Eron ay nasa tapat ko humigit ng upuan.
Hindi ko nakaligtaan ang matahan ng kaibigan at ni Brayan, they were smirking like real idiots.
"Maybe I'll just sit here," I politely said, rejecting their offers. Inayos ko ang upuan sa gitna ng mesa at doon naupo.
Sa kanan ko ay si Eron at sa kaliwa ay si Isadore, na katabi si Miz at Brayan.
They both nodded and we proceeded eating.
"You'll be busy very soon, I tell you. Kaya gawin na natin iyong itinerary na sinulat natin!" Miz opened up after sipping on his wine glass with water.
I nodded. "Bukas, ano?" Hamon ko na ikinangisi niya.
She looked at Brayan. "Sumama kayo ni Eron, para mas masaya." She said.
They ralked silently as they include Eron. Pinipilit niya si Brayan while Eron keeps on listening and nodding.
Tiningnan ko si Isadore. He's quiet and listens to us while happily eating his food. "You won't go back to Italy soon, right?" I said enough for us to hear.
Napalingon si Eron sa banda namin pero hindi ko na siya binalingan.
"I have three days here, then back to Italy for the project I accepted from Vince." Lumiwanag ang mukha ko, hindi maitago ang excitement. I leaned to him for confirmation.
"Vince? Like Vince Maillart?" I was so thrilled my friends looked at us. Nagtataka sila sa malapad kong ngisi.
"Yup," He shrugged boredly expecting my excitement.
"I'm jealous! What's the project?"
"I'll tell you when you come back," He smirked like he's negotiating me to come back already.
Humalukipkip ako pero nakangisi sa kanya. "You'll do great with that. I'm sure,"
He's not just an average architect, he has a style and I know he deserved to have these kinds of deals. Hindi niya man sabihin alam kong malaki ang magiging ptohect niya.
"I'm surprised he knew you,"
Tinuro ko ang sarili kahit hawak parin ang tinidor, confused if he's pertaining to me.
"His distant cousin is your friend, but he didn't mention the name." Napaisip tuloy ako sa sinabi niya. Sino?
Binalingan ko si Mizuki. "Baka pinsan mo Miz? Pinsan ni Eli?" He shook her head.
"Mukha ba kaming may lahing Western European? Pure asian kami, Miss Architect if you remember." She shrugged, pinaningkitan ako ng mata.
"You try to ask your other friends," she said coldly and took a bite of her food.
"Wow, you sound jealous." Tumawa ako at napabaling kay Brayan na nakakalokong ngumisi sa akin.
"Anong una nating pupuntahan bukas?" Tanong ko matapos kumain.
