"I don't know, I have license but the last time I used it was before I got into an accident. The whole years without you, hindi ko nagamit iyon. . . " Eron seemed troubled.
His necktie was loose and two of his buttons were opened.
"He's expecting you to join..." I trailed.
"I'm not competent yet. . ." Mahinang aniya.
Lumapit ako at tumabi sa kanya.
I softly said, he looked at me and sighed.
"Naalala mo iyon?" He smiled softly. His chin rested on my head, naramdaman ko ang paghalik niya doon.
"I don't know if it was my dream while I was in coma or it really happened in reality but. . . we promised each other that someday we'll work together. You as an Architect and me as an Engineer."
"Then why won't we make it happen today? The opportunity's in front of us." I smiled sweetly.
He stifled a smile and hugged me tighter. Tumango siya. "Right, what's stopping me?" He said asking himself.
"I'm just afraid I'm not good enough, it's not a simple project." He said and heaved a sigh.
"He wouldn't want you without background checking, right? I heard you practiced privately when you didn't finished your rehab?" Ngumisi ako. "You accepted gallery and mansion projects."
He shifted on his seat and looked at me, almost shock. I arched a brow, I know right?
His lips parted. "Sinong nagsabi?" Hindi siya makangiti sa gulat.
"Brayan and Bries." Sabi ko na mabilis niyang ikinangisi. He scoffed and pulled me for a hug again. He kissed my temple this time.
"If you accept it, I will accept it." He said like it really depends on me.
"I want to accept it. . . as my last project of being an Architect." I trailed, he looked at me confused.
"You'll resign? "
"After the project, it's years away from now, alright." Natatawa kong sabi, lumunok siya at tumango.
"Then we'll accept it?"
"We'll accept it, I wanna work with my engineer." Ngisi ko. He chuckled because I dramatically pronounced the engineer and gave him a peck on his cheeks.
We met for discussion of our demands and theirs. Isa't kalahating oras ata kaming nag-usap bago tuluyang nagpirmahan ng kontrata.
"I am very pleased to work with you two," Kinamayan kami ni Vince, he's a Pilot and also a CEO.
"To the years of professional bonds!" We clinked our glasses and sipped on our wines.
"Cheers, love." Eron whispered as we clinked glasses.
She looked innocent and reserved but I noticed how Vince's eyes gives her a glance even when he's talking with Eron.
Si Eron ay napapatingin din sa akin. He'd smile at me. "Pretty," He mouthed that made my smile more wider.
"Architect?"
