Heyyy everyone 😭😭 I'm so sorry!!

I honestly don't even know where to begin explaining my situation. I've been so busy, and I still am, my end sem exams are going on, and I have another one tomorrow... and guess what? I haven't studied a single word. Ahhh, please pray for me 😭

But anyway the chapter is finally here!!

Just a small note: this one is more of a filler chapter. I'm not really able to write the way I want to right now, but I missed you all way too much and I just wanted to see all the comments and reviews 🤍 This chapter was planned, just not like this. I added a few things and kind of rushed through it. Originally, this and the next chapter were supposed to be one, but I didn't have the time to organize it properly, so here we are with a full fluffy chapter instead. From the next chapter we'll get back on track.

Think of it as a cute little "day in the Singh family's life" chapter✨

I know not much really happens in this chapter, but hey, something is better than nothing, right? I'm just really happy I could post 😭

Now I seriously need to go study... I haven't touched a single unit yet and my exam is tomorrow, in this heat 😔 Those of you who follow me on Insta already know the struggle.

But the good news is I'm freaking finally graduating yayyy😭🤙🏻 what can be the better than this. Finally out of this college. Ye soch ke subah panch minute nach leti hu , khush rehti hu bas sirf ye hi soch ke. Bas ek week🤙🏻

Anyways...
Happy reading 🤍

RASHVIK'S POV-

After one and half hour of drive, as I rounded the car toward the terminal, my chest began to feel heavier with every passing second, far heavier than it had felt earlier in the day. For a brief moment, I almost made up my mind to take a U-turn, to send the driver instead, to spare myself this weight. But I couldn't.

As much as I wanted to run from their tears, the day waited for me with open arms. And no matter how much I wanted to escape the pain in their eyes, I would never want to escape them. They are my parents. They always have been. They always will be.

They raised me. They raised my brothers. They filled my childhood with the kind of warmth that still lives safely in a quiet corner of my heart, the kind I cradle on days that feel too heavy, the kind I return to every time I close my eyes at night. If the universe ever gave me the chance, I would relive those moments again and again, without hesitation.

They are my mom and dad.

People say, "With time, you'll forget." They're wrong.

You don't forget grief. It doesn't lessen. It doesn't fade. It only changes shape, burning deeper as time passes, because you begin to see the absence everywhere. In every corner of the world where your loved one should have been.

I know this feeling too well.

When they'll watch the kids grow up beautifully all alone, despite having everyone around them. When they'll see Ananya settle into her life, start a family of her own. When they'll see the world moving forward while something inside them remains painfully still. The ache will sharpen. It will pierce their hearts and crumble what is already shattered.

Me and Dad, we've lived this reality for almost fifteen years now.

It wasn't easy. But Dad held me when I cried for Maa. He bared his own heart just to comfort mine. And when it was my turn, I did the same for my brothers, answering their innocent questions, shielding them from a cruelty this world introduced far too early.
