RASHVIK'S POV-
We stayed like that for a moment, forehead to forehead, breath to breath until the breeze stirred gently around us, carrying the scent of roses and saltwater.
Her eyes shimmered beneath the fading light, and I could tell she was trying to memorize this, just like I was. The lighthouse behind us glowed softly, casting long shadows across the rooftop.
I stood up slowly, pulling her with me, our hands still locked. She leaned into me, wrapping her arms around my torso and resting her head against my chest. I held her close, one arm around her shoulders, the other at her waist. We fit perfectly like we were always meant to.
The view from the top stretched endlessly, the ocean glittering under the rising moon. The sky was painted in lavender and gold, the stars slowly beginning to peek through the horizon. It felt like time had slowed just for us.
"You hear that?" I whispered, nudging her gently. She looked up, confused.
"Hear what?"
"My heartbeat," I said, smiling. "They're a little nervous."
She let out a soft laugh, the sound muffled against my shirt. "You're such a filmy boy."
"And you love that about me," I teased, squeezing her gently.
"Mmm, maybe just a little," she murmured, holding on tighter.
We stood there like that, arms wrapped around each other, soaking in the view, not just of the sea and sky, but of this life we had somehow built through all the chaos and love and missteps. The world felt quiet. Like it knew this was sacred.
I tilted my head down and pressed a kiss to the top of hers. "Thank you," I whispered.
"For what?"
"For giving me another chance in love and life...."
She smiled into my chest. "Thank you for making me feel special."
"You are," I said simply.
And in that moment, there was no one else, just us, two hearts that had finally, finally come home to each other.
I stretched my arms behind her where I had hidden the bouquet earlier. My fingers curled around it, and I slowly pulled away-just enough to look into her eyes. Eyes that never fail to leave me utterly, helplessly breathless every time I see them.
She looked back at me with a softness that melted something inside me. There was so much love in that single look that it made my throat tighten. How did I get so lucky to have her?
"For you, my love," I whispered, extending the bouquet towards her.
She blinked in surprise, then let out the shyest little chuckle, her face tinting the most beautiful shade of red as she took it from my hands. My shy chotu, I thought with pride swelling in my chest.
