NEXT DAY—

Morning arrived quietly, the soft golden sunlight slipping through the curtains and brushing against sleepy faces like a gentle promise. The house woke up slowly, no rush, no heaviness only the warmth of a night that had healed more hearts than anyone had expected.

Sarakshi stirred first.

For a brief moment, she was lost between sleep and reality. Then she felt Prachi's arm wrapped securely around her, Ananya's steady presence on her other side. The weight of last night returned to her gently, not as shock anymore, but as comfort. As truth.

A smile curved her lips before her eyes even opened.

She stayed still for a few seconds longer, breathing it in. This feeling. This belonging.

Later that morning, after warm hugs that lingered longer than usual, whispered reassurances, and promises that didn't need words, Sarakshi finally prepared to leave.

Rashvik arrived with Pichu, who was already wide awake and bubbling with energy. The moment he spotted his mumma, he clung to her tightly, babbling happily, unaware of how deeply his presence anchored her heart in that moment.

There were no dramatic goodbyes only soft ones. Because they all knew this wasn't an ending. They'd be meeting again in just a few hours.

Prachi held Sarakshi tightly at the door, her forehead resting against her shoulder, refusing to let go for a few extra seconds as if memorizing the feel of her sister in her arms.

"Come back fast," she murmured, her voice thick with emotion.

"I will," Sarakshi replied with a small laugh that trembled despite her smile. "Bas fatafat se ready hoke aapke paas wapas."

(I'll quickly get ready and come back to you)

Rashvik waited patiently beside them, one hand resting on Pichu's back, the other lightly placed on Sarakshi's shoulder grounded, steady, protective. A quiet assurance without words.

And then they left.

Sarakshi, Rashvik, and Pichu returned home together, the morning sun following them as if blessing the quiet certainty settling deep in Sarakshi's heart.

She wasn't leaving something behind.

She was carrying it with her.

SINGH MANSION

Sarakshi stood in front of the dressing table, getting ready, while chaos...very familiar chaos unfolded in the bathroom.

Rashvik was supposed to be taking a shower, and make pichu shower too.

What they were actually doing felt more like a full-blown water park adventure.

Loud splashes echoed from behind the door, followed by Pichu's high-pitched giggles and Rashvik's dramatic protests.

She glanced toward the bathroom, shaking her head with a fond smile.

At some point, she had made peace with the fact that when it came to things like this, neither her husband nor her son was ever going to listen to her. They lived by their own rules and honestly, she loved them for it.
