AUTHOR'S POV-

After all the rituals and laughter on the terrace, everyone trickled downstairs-still smiling, still buzzing from the joy in the air. One by one, they took their seats at the dining table, the aroma of freshly cooked food dancing in the air like an invitation nobody could resist.

Rashvik pulled out the chairs for both Sarakshi and Prachi, firmly making them sit down, ignoring their protests with a look that said no more work tonight. Rakshit, never missing a beat, slipped into the seat between both his bhabhis, grinning as if he'd just won the lottery. Rashvik rolled his eyes.

Once the final dish was set and Prachi was shooed from helping one last time, Rashvik and Rajiv finally sat down too-Rashvik settling into his usual place, directly across from Sarakshi.

She raised an eyebrow at him, playful suspicion in her gaze.

"What?" he asked, already chewing, feigning innocence. "Don't look at me like that. Just eat."

She narrowed her eyes. "Why are you eating now? I didn't break your fast, so technically you shouldn't be eating."

Rashvik smirked, his tone smug. "Your mistake, not mine. You should've thought of that earlier."

"Wait-fast?" Rakshit chimed in, genuinely confused. "But bhai didn't keep a fast, right? Bhabhi, didn't you say he didn't?"

"Obviously he kept it, Akshu. I knew it," Sarakshi replied, chuckling as she took a sip of water.

"He kept it anyway?" Rakshit blinked, looking back and forth.

Rashvik just shrugged, cocking his brow at her. "Usne mana kiya toh kya hua? I was always going to keep it-doesn't matter what she said."

(So what if she refused?)

"But... you had breakfast," Reyansh muttered without looking up, too busy focused on stuffing naan into his mouth.

Rashvik glared at him like a betrayed soldier. "Teri bhabhi ne zabardasti khila diya tha, okay?"

(Your bhabhi forcefully fed me, okay?)

"Still doesn't count, bhai. Invalid. Disqualified," Ananya laughed, pointing her spoon at him like a judge delivering her verdict.

"Fine," Rashvik said with exaggerated dignity, placing his hand dramatically on his heart. "Kal poora din rakh lunga. not a big deal for me. Especially when it's for my wife."

(I'll keep the whole day tomorrow)

He shot a look at his so-called table "enemies," blinking sweetly.

Sarakshi shook her head, trying to hide her smile behind her hand.

"Eww, bhai. How do you tolerate your cringe husband, bhabhi?" Rakshit groaned dramatically, scooting away a little.

Before he could escape, Rashvik smacked the back of his head lightly. "Chup reh, dedh hoshiyar."

(Shut up, you over-smart person!)

"Ow!" Rakshit winced, rubbing the spot. Sarakshi instinctively reached out, rubbing it gently while shooting a glare at Rashvik.

He held both hands up in surrender. "He asked for it."
