AUTHOR'S POV-

As the music faded into a softer tune, the laughter and cheers gradually mellowed. The atmosphere shifted from lively celebration to something tender and warm, filled with love, nostalgia, and quiet joy.

Dadu helped Dadi to her grand, beautifully decorated seat, a throne-like chair adorned with marigolds and fairy lights. She sat gracefully, still giggling like a teenager, her cheeks flushed from all the attention. Dadu sat proudly beside her, his hand never once leaving hers.

One by one, the family members came forward to wish her, touching her feet, hugging her, and showering her with gifts. The old couple truly were the heart of the family, the center around which everyone revolved.

Even though the celebration plan was made quickly and suddenly, everyone showed up without hesitation. They all knew how much these two loved family gatherings and no one wanted to miss it.

"Arey, bas bas, itne pair mat pado mere, ghutne kharab ho jayenge tum sabke jhuke jhuke!" Dadi teased, half-scolding, half-laughing, making everyone around her burst into giggles.

(Hey, stop, stop, don't keep touching my feet so much; all that bowing will ruin your knees!)

The room buzzed softly the hum of overlapping conversations, the clinking of glasses, and faint music weaving through the air. Kids ran around with sparklers just outside the hall, while the elders gathered near Dadi, taking turns feeding her sweets and teasing her for looking "younger than her age."

When everyone had finished wishing her, Rashvik and Sarakshi walked forward together. Dadi's eyes immediately lit up at the sight of them.

"Aa gaye mere heera-moti!" she exclaimed, spreading her arms wide.

(My precious gems have arrived!)

Both of them lunged forward, hugging Dadi and Dadu in one big, warm embrace, wide smiles spreading on their faces.

"Happy birthdayyy, meri pyariii Dadiiii!" Sarakshi chirped, her voice bubbling with excitement. Dadi pulled her closer, making her sit between her and Dadu while Rashvik stood before them, pretending to look betrayed.

"Thank you, mera bachha... Khush reh, hamesha khush reh. Tum dono ko dekhti hoon na toh dil ko sukoon milta hai," Dadi murmured lovingly, cupping Sarakshi's face and kissing her forehead. Dadu smiled, doing the same before they all dissolved into laughter and light conversation.

(Thank you, my child... Stay happy, always stay happy. When I look at both of you, my heart feels at peace)

Rashvik, standing beside them, folded his arms and frowned dramatically. "Am I nothing to you two old lovebirds!?" he accused playfully.

"Sharam karo! Ek saal nahi hua isse mile, lekin mujhe toh paida hua tab se jante ho na. Love me a little too!" he whined, crossing his arms like a sulky kid.

(Have some shame! You haven't even known her for a year, but you've known me since the day I was born. Love me a little love too)

"Grow up a little too!" Dadu shot back instantly, his sarcasm hitting bull's-eye. Sarakshi burst out laughing, clutching her stomach.
