"Captain!"
"Oh, hi Kenzie!"
The two boys met up and did their secret salute, then went to sit on a tree stump.
"Captain?" Mackenzie started.
"Yeah?"
"Can you help me out with something?"
"Yeah! What is it?"
"Well..." Blush started to form in Mackenzie's face.
"What? Is it that embarrassing?"
"Well, a bit..."
"Okay. Drop it."
"I... I th- I thi-"
"C'mon... you can tell me anything..."
"Whenever I'm near a girl I feel weird..."
"aww, Kenz is in love!" Someone else joined the conversation
"No I'm not!" Mackenzie defended himself
"Yes you are!" Mia revealed herself "But if you insist... I'm going to need you to tell us who she is" she asserted.
"What?! No!"
"Okay, then describe her to us" Captain insisted.
"Well... she's smart... and kind... and friendly..."
"Bluey?"
Mackenzie suddenly stopped. Then turned around and realised they weren't guessing, but calling.
"Hi Mia! Hi Captain! Hi Kenzie!" The Heeler exclaimed "Are we still going to build a fairy garden?"
"Uhm, sure! I'll catch up" Mia said. Bluey withdrew. "This conversation is not over yet." Mia stated before leaving. Mackenzie gulped.
"So... keep going! i'm still here!"
"Well, where was i? Ah, yes. She's kind, and friendly, and she cares for me, but i don't think she feels the same for me..." Mackenzie's blush dissipated.
"How do you know? after all, you're what? eight?"
"But it's such a weird thing, i care for her, i want to live the rest of my life with her, i want to have kids with her-"
"So you love her...?
"Uhm, eh...- Gotta go!" Mackenzie got up and ran away towards the sandpit.
"It's Bluey, there's just no other way".
