Nothing I do,

is ever good enough.

An untimely exclamation catches everyone's attention. All eyes turn to the source of the voice—Hinata Shoyo.

Realizing he had just given a nickname to someone right in front of them, Hinata stands up straight, scratching his head awkwardly.

"Daichi..." Sugawara urgently signals to the frozen Daichi, snapping him out of his trance. Daichi quickly lets go of your sleeve. "Sorry!"

Huh...? Mr. 'Dynamite'? Is he talking about me?

You look around at the Karasuno members surrounding you while being confused. You hadn't expected to run into them, especially since you had chosen a more remote route back from Shiratorizawa to avoid crowds.

Kageyama clenches his fists with his cold eyes as he stares at you casually holding a shopping bag. Although you don't fully understand the situation, you sense the tense atmosphere.

You relaxed as much as possible, resting one hand on your waist and tilting your head towards Kageyama outside the door, silently asking him a question with your gaze.

Well... Is it my cue to say hello now?

Taking the initiative, you raise your hand and state your name calmly under the nervous gazes of everyone present: "Nice to meet you, Karasuno's 'crows'. I'm not Mr. 'Dynamite'."

You glance at those who still seem tense despite your introduction, your hair slightly messy, betraying your own confusion.

"Hello, I'm Daichi Sawamura, captain of the Karasuno volleyball club." Daichi steps forward, moving from behind you to face the members of Karasuno, initiating the conversation.

You nod casually, though inwardly you breathe a sigh of relief.

You aren't good at social interactions, especially with people who seem like main characters.

Just as Daichi puts on a friendly smile, about to extend the conversation, a familiar voice from behind freezes him in place:

"Nice to meet you! Mr. Dynamite! High school's going to be different from junior high! Kageyama and I will beat you on the national stage this time!"

Sugawara's smile falters, Kageyama unclenches his fists, and they both turn to look at Hinata, who stands there with a bright smile.

'...Is that his idea of trash talk? What an idiot.'

They nervously eyed you who had just been declared a war. Your expression remained firm upon hearing the challenge—no irritation, just a faint puzzlement.

"The national...?"

"Isn't it only Shiratorizawa or Karasuno that can enter the national?"

"Huh?!" Hinata paled and froze in place.

Sugawara sighed helplessly, feeling a throb of headache.

Tanaka glared angrily at the bewildered Hinata and grabbed his shoulder firmly. "You idiot! Even if you know we have to beat Shiratorizawa to get to nationals, don't go discouraging us like that, you moron!"

To everyone's surprise, Hinata, who seemed utterly deflated just moments before, suddenly lit up. His eyes brighten as he raised his hand excitedly and exclaimed:

"Exactly! It means we can beat Mr. Dynamite before nationals! Let's do this!"

The others were dumbfounded. 'Where did this guy get so much confidence from?!'
