The pleasure is to play,
makes no difference what you say.

The crowd erupted. The unexpected play stunned the entire stadium into silence for a brief moment, before cheers and shouts of surprise filled the air.
Commentator A was equally shocked: "What?! A setter attack?! Shiratorizawa is actually using a setter attack!"
Washijo frowned slightly. 'He scored, but why would Shirabu pull something so bold? Usually, he's all about avoiding trouble, and Ushijima gives him a huge sense of security...'
'Of course! The moment that troublemaker joined the team, the once obedient players started acting out!'
Saito glanced at Washijo, noticing him deep in thought after Shirabu's unexpected move. He was relieved by Washijo's somewhat calm reaction—at first.
But then, out of nowhere, Washijo's face darkened, and his anger grew. Finally, he slammed his fist into the chair in frustration.
Saito sighed inwardly, already thinking about how to defend Shirabu after the game—but he didn't realize he was worried about the wrong person.
While the audience and the opponents were shocked, even the players of Shiratorizawa were surprised. After all, everyone knew that Shiratorizawa's setter didn't need to overthink. His main job was just to get the ball to Ushijima. It was like the strategy of a certain esports team, where the top laner just needed to play the tank and take hits.
"Great job, Kenjiro!" Tendou's excited voice broke the silence. He rushed toward Shirabu, who still had his usual cold expression, and draped himself over him. Shirabu's already frosty demeanor became even icier.
Goshiki, in the back row, was amazed. Meanwhile, Ohira and you exchanged glances, and in that moment, you both understood the same thing: Forget whether the play was cool or not—did Ushijima just throw his back out?
'It definitely seemed like it! After all, it wasn't like Shirabu had called Ushijima's name, or that he couldn't reach the ball. Plus, Goshiki was in a perfect position. Usually, everyone would assume Ushijima would be the one to spike that ball!'
Suddenly feeling the concerned stares from behind, Ushijima turned around in confusion and met your gazes.
In those eyes, he saw... admiration? And sympathy?
Ushijima was genuinely puzzled, but there wasn't much he could do about it.
The scoreboard read 23:22. Shiratorizawa was just one point away from securing match point.
Even though the way they had scored this time was completely different, the pattern of their scoring felt eerily familiar. It was another heavy blow to Mujinazaka's morale.
Kiryu's breathing was slightly heavy. Even though he managed to gain a small lead after trading heavy blows with Ushijima, all their efforts from the past ten minutes were erased by your serves in just a few minutes.
And now, because Shirabu just scored with that pass, it was still your turn to serve for Shiratorizawa.
If you score, Shiratorizawa will get match point. If you lose the point, Mujinazaka will tie the game, making things even more intense.
This is the IH National Competition—getting match point doesn't guarantee much of an advantage, and it definitely doesn't mean you've won yet. Just look at Inarizaki, who scored over 30 points in the last game.
That's why, despite the tension, you weren't too nervous. You'd been through plenty of intense matches before. As the crowd watched, you tossed the volleyball high, paused for a moment, and delivered a powerful jump serve.
