Maybe I'd change for you someday,

but I can't help the way i feel.

*

It was the beginning of spring in your first year of high school.

The halls of Shiratorizawa were filled with noises and people doing activities. Among the crowds of freshmen were seniors eagerly recruiting for various clubs.

Of course, at Shiratorizawa, the volleyball club was the most outstanding of all. - If you had the talent, you had the courage.

The tall senior, holding a sign for the basketball club, glanced around the noisy hall. Suddenly, a figure appeared before him, causing him to quickly approach.

"Hey there! Would you be interested in joining the basketball team... um?" He paused abruptly, blinked in surprise, then took a couple of steps back, awkwardly scratching his head.

"Oh, it's you...You're here for the volleyball club, right? It's over there..."

The young man standing before him was you who wore a white shirt with a dark purple coat casually draped over your shoulders.

You held a schoolbag in one hand, and your hair, styled in a manner resembling a wolf's tail, added to your stunning appearance.

Upon hearing the other person's words, your cold expression soured slightly, betraying a hint of impatience.

This gave the senior opposite you a fright, causing him to quickly step back and shake his head in panic.

You glanced at him indifferently before continuing on your way. The basketball senior heaved a sigh of relief. "Truly fitting of him... That was intense..."

As everyone knows, the recent scene was perceived entirely differently by you.

Where's my classroom? Is it on the third floor? There's no class 1 on the first or second floors.

Unaware that you had mistakenly entered the sports building instead of the classroom building, you continued to go through the crowd, searching for your class.

Suddenly, someone approached you with a rapid invitation, leaving you thoroughly bewildered. Your already stiff expression became even more tense with social anxiety.

However, as the man observed your face more closely, his speech gradually slowed down, though his voice remained low, worsening your sense of unease and embarrassment.

In the end, all you could make out was the other person pointing ahead and uttering "right there." Before you could ask for more information, he abruptly ran as if fleeing from the final boss, leaving you standing alone in the wind.

...Oh well, I'll check out the direction he pointed first.

Your mindset remained surprisingly resilient, perhaps a result of hitting rock bottom. You weren't as nervous anymore.

As for Shiratorizawa, as long as you stay away from the volleyball club members, you could safely go through your high school years in your own little corner.

Just gotta get through the year! Once I graduate from third grade, I'll be free!

Taking a deep breath, you filled your heart with determination. Glancing at the classroom door ahead, you pushed it open.

"Whoosh!" The sound of air being flown rushed towards you.

"Bang!"

Reacting swiftly, you caught the volleyball rushing towards you with one hand. You looked down at the ball expressionlessly, surprised by its sudden appearance.
