In order to understand the world,
one has to turn away from it on occasion.

BOOM—!
The crowd gasped.
For a second, no one moved.
No one had even processed what had happened yet—
And somehow, you had already scored.
Kanbayashi stood frozen in place.
He hadn't even touched the ball.
The serve had brushed past his arm, slamming into the floor beside him before bouncing high into the air.
Kamomedai's libero... had been left completely paralyzed.
In the stands, the spectators exchanged glances before bursting into cheers.
But in the midst of the celebration, their confusion lingered.
'What just happened?'
'Was he... too scared to react?'
Just like that, it was over.
So fast. So simple.
It was almost unbelievable.
Unbelievable how fast your serve had been.
Unbelievable how Kanbayashi had just... stood there, frozen.
On the sidelines, Kuroo winced and turned his head away, unable to keep watching.
At the same time, Atsumu did the exact same thing.
Their eyes met.
And in that moment, they both knew they were thinking the same thing—
'Damn it, Dynamite. That was just cruel.'
As players who had already suffered through your serves many times before, they had a strange sense of camaraderie toward Kanbayashi.
Watching him go up against you for the first time, only to get completely shut down by that unpredictable, almost unnatural serve...
They couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him.
On the court, Hoshiumi's eyes flickered with surprise before shifting into something more serious.
He was suddenly reminded of training camp—back when the national youth team first gathered, filled with players who had never worked together before.
Even then, you had moved like you belonged.
And now, surrounded by teammates you had trained with for months...
Your movements weren't just natural.
They were effortless.
'Damn it... his adaptability is insane.'
Kanbayashi remained standing in place.
It wasn't that he had been too scared to react.
If anything, his mind had never been clearer.
That last second kept replaying over and over in his head.
The moment the ball flew past him.
The split second when—he could've sworn—he actually heard the wind whistle as it cut through the air.
