Hinata, who'd just heard his name, looked up in confusion, blinking his big round eyes before glancing over at Kageyama, who was just as stoic as ever. 'Wait... what secret?' Hinata thought. 'Even Kageyama knows? And I have no clue?!'
Hinata's expression turned cartoonishly tragic as he looked around, hoping someone would clue him in on this so-called secret he was apparently in on.
Unable to resist, Takeda-sensei asked, "A secret? About who? Are we allowed to know?"
With a smirk, Nishinoya crossed his arms, a tuft of hair bouncing as he nodded. "Well, apparently, even he has his moments."
Ukai's curiosity grew, and he leaned in. "How so?"
Nishinoya, face serious, held up a finger, explaining, "Last time, when he was helping a few of us with practice, he mentioned something someone had said to him that threw him off. It really got to him."
"So even someone as confident and talented as Dynamite can have self-doubts," he continued. "Which just goes to show—he's human. And if he's human, he's not invincible or unbeatable!"
The team exchanged surprised looks. No one had expected that someone as strong and assured as you could be shaken by someone else's words.
Finally, Hinata connected the dots, his face lighting up as he remembered that day. "Oh, that's what you meant!" He pounded his fist into his palm, voice indignant. "Whoever told Mr. Dynamite he wasn't making an impact on the court... wait! Could it have been Ushijima?!"
Kageyama stayed silent, his expression as blank as ever, but for the first time, it seemed like he was catching on to what the "secret" was. He gave a serious nod. "Could be."
"Yes!" Hinata said, feeling encouraged. "After all, this is the same guy who said, 'Only in fertile soil can you grow a strong tree'—how arrogant is that?"
"What?! He said that?!" Tanaka clenched his fists in outrage. "Is he saying Dynamite belongs in Shiratorizawa? That's basically an insult to us, Karasuno!"
"Uh... wasn't he already in Shiratorizawa?" Ennoshita pointed out quietly.
"Exactly! So unfair! Just wait 'til we're back on the court and show him what we're made of!" Nishinoya and Tanaka yelled in unison.
"Uh... actually..." Ennoshita tried to interject, but Sugawara quickly stopped him with a sigh, looking resigned. "Ennoshita, just let it go."
"Those two never listen to reason anyway," Sugawara said, his face deadpan, before pointing at them with the friendliest smile and saying in the sweetest tone, "Let's just have Daichi handle it, okay?"
Ennoshita watched Daichi, standing behind Nishinoya and Tanaka with clenched fists, practically radiating a dark aura. He gulped. 'Yep... Daichi really is in a league of his own.'
Thud! Thud!

Back on the court, you noticed the two giant lumps on Nishinoya and Tanaka's heads—still practically steaming. The two of them glared daggers at Ushijima as if they wanted to tear him apart.
Wait... so Karasuno's timeout was just to knock some sense into these two?
Still, if anything, the "light scolding" had only fired them up, boosting their determination tenfold.
