Love you like a brother,

A few hours later, the training had taken its toll. Hinata was pale, collapsed on his knees, clearly exhausted. Kuroo wasn't much better, leaning forward with his hands on his knees, panting hard. His eyes were half-rolled back as he stared at you, who was still standing on the opposite side of the court, drenched in sweat.
'Before all this, you were acting like you didn't want to play at all. But once the game started, it's like you unleashed your inner demon!'
It was you who had said there wouldn't be much practice, but here you were, pushing everyone to their limits. Even you seemed a little confused, your narrow eyes observing Hinata's collapsed form as if wondering why he was struggling so much. You absentmindedly tucked some sweaty hair behind your ear, still catching your breath but nowhere near as worn out as the others.
Akaashi, the most reliable of the bunch, should've had an explanation, right? You turned to him, seeking answers, but to your shock, Akaashi was also down on his knees, completely wiped out.
'When did that happen?!'
It was a bit exaggerated to say Akaashi was on his knees—he was just staggering slightly, sweat running down his face, his eyes looking tired and unfocused. His gaze shifted between you and Bokuto. You stood there with a blank expression, frowning as if wondering why everyone else was so tired. Meanwhile, Bokuto was bouncing around with endless energy, clearly the most animated player on the court.
Akaashi felt like he was being worn down by both of you. It used to be just Bokuto that pushed him to the edge, but now you had become just as much of a challenge. Your serves were high and powerful, requiring him to give everything he had on the first touch. If he didn't, the ball might not even reach its intended target before the attacker was ready. And unlike Bokuto, who had his infamous "negative" moments, you stayed at maximum focus the entire game—even in a simple 3v3.
Honestly, Akaashi couldn't help but wonder if you were treating this training match with the same intensity as a national final. Little did he know, that's exactly how you approached every game. Whether it was a casual match or a championship, you treated every game as if it were your last.
You weren't as concerned about Akaashi, though—you were more focused on Hinata, who was still collapsed on the other side. Lev, standing tall next to him, seemed to share your concern. His height only made the sight of a kneeling Hinata more ridiculous, and you had to stifle a laugh, holding back the words you wanted to say.
"What's wrong, Shoyo?" Lev asked curiously, peering down at Hinata. Not finding the posture very comfortable, Lev squatted down and tilted his head, trying to get a better look at Hinata's face.
Hinata, still in a daze, muttered under his breath, "Horrible... That serve... I'm gonna be eaten alive..."
Akaashi, leaning against the net, overheard Hinata's muttering and couldn't help but smile slightly. He knew exactly what Hinata was talking about—your serve. It had an intense, almost overwhelming presence, the kind of serve that could not only open up the court but also crush a libero's confidence.
No wonder Hinata looked so rattled. Only someone like Bokuto, who focused purely on catching the ball, could ignore the pressure from such a powerful attack.
—Though, to be fair, Bokuto still hadn't managed to catch it.
Lev, tilting his head in confusion, said, "Is it really that scary? I thought it was fine..."
