SPECIAL CHAPTER - TRIPLE TROUBLE

MARTHA'S POV

I went inside my office and was greeted by my secretary. "Miss Martha, an invitation just came in for you po."

I placed my handbag on my desk, put my coat on the rack, and sat on my swivel chair. "From who?" I asked while focusing on the designs for the Summer collection na ilalabas two months from now.

"Sir Damian of LUST DAWN, Ma'am," sagot niya na nagpatingala sa akin.

I reached out my hand for the invitation and read it. An invitation for an LD Party, kasama nun ang membership card ko.

But I haven't applied yet. Napailing na lang ako nang maalalang si Damian ang nagbigay. That man never stops.

"Is that all, Collin?" tanong ko pa sa sekretarya ko.

"Yes po, Ma'am. I'll take my leave now." Tumango naman ako saka siya lumabas ng office.

Sumandal naman ako sa upuan ko saka napabuntong hininga. I never thought that this will get too stressful. Ever since I got the MG Styles from Dad, hindi na ako tumigil sa pagta-trabaho at pag-iisip ng mga paraan para makuha ang pinakamataas na place sa fashion industry. I wiped my face, straightened my back, and was about to go back to work when the door opened without a knock.

I automatically glared at the person who entered my office. He only gave me a sarcastic smile before walking towards the water dispenser and quickly getting himself a drink.

"Oh please, have a drink," I sarcastically said and continued with my work. Naramdaman ko namang siyang pabagsak na umupo sa sofa. Ilang beses ko rin siyang narinig na bumuntong hininga bago ako tuluyang mairita at tumingin sa kaniya. "Spit it out. Hindi yung ginugulo mo ang peaceful atmosphere ko."

His lifeless eyes bored into mine. "Kindly explain why you, women, are so dense. Kung hindi naman manhid, ang gulo-gulo. I could never understand you. Why is Mom never like that? She always understands me and knows what she wants. Why can't the other girls be like her," tuloy-tuloy niyang reklamo.

"That's because Mom isn't their mom," walang pakealam kong sagot.

"I really am trying to look for someone like Mom because she wants me to have a girl now. But how can I do that if everybody's demanding?" Halata sa boses niya ang stress.

"Thierry, don't generalize. Hindi mo pa naman najojowa ang lahat ng kababaihan." Ngumiti ako sa kaniya ng nakakaloko. "O baka naman kasi hindi babae ang para sayo."

Sinamaan niya ako ng tingin. "Don't even try to say it, Ate."

Mahina naman akong natawa before I relaxed my back on my chair. "I'm just saying, Thierry. Opening every possible situation," kunwaring seryoso kong sabi.

I received another glare from him. "I don't swing that way, Ate."

I let out a small smile. "Whatever you say, lil brother."

I went back to my files and Thierry remained unmoving on the sofa. Sakto namang may kumatok at pinapasok ko na. Collin entered with a tray with my snacks. "Your energizer, Miss Martha," sabi niya saka inilapag sa desk ko ang tray.

"Thank you, Collin. Kumain na rin kayo."

Tumango naman siya saka humarap kay Thierry na tulala. "Would you want anything, Mr. Myers?" walang emosyon na tanong ni Collin.

Oh well, lagi naman talagang walang emosyon si Collin kaya nga pinili ko siyang sekretarya eh. Plus he's the son of Dad's former secretary.

Nakita ko namang tinitigan lang ni Thierry si Collin kaya naman tumikhim ako saka tinawag ang atensyon ni Collin. "How about get him a very cold water and throw it at him para naman magising na ang magaling kong kapatid," natatawa kong sabi.
