CONFIDENTIAL

16- Casualties

Report- ATTACK on Promiel Boarder attacks reported to be on ' Dragon Back' evidence shows.

Listening to Devera makes my stomach twist. The attack they pinned on gryphons they somehow ' evolved' or some shit. A gryphon can't get that big, unless it was one of the mutts that the reports countered...

Though I feel that's unlikely...

I drum my pen along my fingers just wanting to yell bullshit, tell them, tell all of them.... I try to think of anything else possible as the other cadets try to ' dissect' the solutions why... They ended at possibly having traitors within Navarre.

Devera confirmed glancing at some of the marked ones.. As if they're the problem.. If I could I'd send a bolt right through her-

" Maybe you should take a walk." Hetta hushes from beside me, she mentions down to my hands where small faint sparks were dancing on my finger tips.

I give a curt nod, " Yea, I have to pack to go to Samara anyways.." I quickly stand grabbing my things slipping out of the door and back to my room. Since the whole ' Rhys almost killing Solas' deal.. It's been quiet...quieter... At east no one has tried to kill me or the other marked ones.

Though I have a feeling once Solas is healed or Varrish has a plan we're really in for it.

At least I can see Xaden.... Just look forward to that..

I hate to admit it... slowly he's breaking the resolve I had for keeping to myself since he still insists on not telling me much. But it's getting better.. slowly.. If I knew all I had to do was not kiss him for him to actually tell me things I would've done it alot sooner.

I still don't plan on kissing him. For now. I'll hold it out as long as I need to, or until I can't take it anymore which is regrettably sooner rather then later.

I packed fast, not just waiting for 3 o'clock to leave. I figured I'd do just a little reminding as I left my pack by the door my fingers thrumming at the sheathes as I quickly walk to where I know Aaric is training.

His days I've found are heavily scheduled always at the certain place at a certain time, no doubt a habit he learned from his time in the Kingdom. I walk briskly down to the training room where he was practicing his punches.

There were a few here and there all doing their own thing trying to better themselves so they're not on the death rolls for tomorrow.  Aaric was in his own little world when I walk up to him watching for a few moments before I speak.

" Annnddd you'd be dead."

He jumps about ready to punch me when he realizes who it was. " The hell?!
