We earned new patches. 

And here Dain was... not even present to gloat to everyone how is wing is the first in years to win the escape patch from the interrogation. He asked Bohdi to cover for him for a few days saying he had ' Things' to take care of.

I'm almost worried what ' Things' are but again... Who would believe him? And if they did how long would he really live. I gave him a what he deserved.

I walk down to breakfast before Battle Brief today, Hetta, Sawyer, and Ridoc close to me as we walk. Since the interrogation they finally realized how much Varrish hates me, and how big the tear in Dain and I's relationship really is..

" So are you going to tell us today?" Sawyer asks. " Finally give us an answer why you two have been so weird? Why they want to actually murder Freya?"

" Why Dain looked like he was ready to pee himself... If it's a trick Sorrengail I want to learn it." Ridoc grins, " I almost laughed."

" Or share how you both knew what his signet was... I could understand Freya but you Hetta.."

I was just about to open my mouth to make a BS excuse when 3 First wing riders sit down right infront of us looking intently. I slowly take a bite of my watermelon chewing slow. " If your going to try to kill us can you atleast wait until I'm done?"

" We're not here to kill you Sorrengail?" One of the girl snips, " We want to know how you did it.. All of you."

" Did...what exactly?" Sawyer asks.

" You guys beat the interrogation right? That's what those patches are for?"

I glance at the patch on Ridoc's uniform then back at them, " I think they'd kill us if we told."

" One thing..." She girl insists. " Our Squad needs to be one of the next ones... I've heard almost one has died from every Squad except yours. Rumor had it Varrish has been breaking almost all of them-"

I pause from drinking from my cup, " Varrish has been torturing them? I thought Third years were supposed to?"

" Was he not in yours?" 

" I mean... he was.... But isn't that kinda..the rule? Just third years?"

" I feel like he gets away with alot of rules..." Another girl spoke from first Squad.

I sigh leaning forward. " From now until graduaution, any test.. Don't trust them, what they say, what they do, offer..." I pull back quickly, " That's as much as we can give you."

The girl nods in a silent thanks as they quickly leave. " How does everyone know? People can't just be noticing new patches.."
