This morning, Aemond sat amongst the small council to discuss their victories across the land. Despite their progress, Aemond had grown angry. His anger stems from the night Blood and Cheese gained entry to his home, threatening his family. Aemond himself has gone down to the black cells many times. With each visit, The Rat Catcher, known as cheese, grows more and more fearful of the One-Eyed King. The first time, Cheese refused to give into the fear of his imprisonment. He told the guards of Jacaerys plans to kidnap Prince Anakin, and he thought that was it. He thought he would spend the rest of his life down in these cells with no one to acknowledge him. He had not counted on The King himself, paying him multiple visits over the course of multiple days. The first day, Aemond said nothing. He had no use for questions at that point. He was simply angry. That was the day after Rhaenas death. Aemond had come at midday and simply started beating the man bloody. The man's screams echo through out the prison cells as well as the lower parts of the Keep. Rumors of Aemonds' daily visits to the Black Cells eventually spread. At first, Aemonds disappearances were thought to be trips to the pleasure houses in Flea Bottom. The King was so angry at the notion of him being unfaithful to his Star that he killed the man who was believed to start the rumor. When he grabbed the man by the collar and dragged him through the halls, everyone saw. Everyone heard the mead plead for mercy, which he didn't get. The man was fed to Vhagar, and Aemond threatened the entirety of the Keep. "Anyone who breathes life into the false rumors of infidelity. Will meet the same fate! MY QUEEN, IS MY QUEEN!" He said with pure rage. He then immediately went to the Black Cells and started to beat Cheese severely. Within each hit, he asked a series of questions. "How did you get in the castle? How do you know of Maegors tunnels? Who else knows of the tunnels? Where did you meet with the bastard King?" Cheese had grown to fear Aemond with each passing day. Sometimes, Aemond would would ask questions. But sometimes he wouldn't. Sweating through tunics, he would continue to abuse the man.
Aemond spent the council meeting with a scowl on his face. It is true that he was never considered a warm individual. However, since his marriage to Ahsoka, he couldn't definitely be seen being more happy with his love and their children. When he was living in Kings Landing at the start of their marriage, everyone he grew up around could see a change in him. A warmth that broke through his cold demeanor. But since Ahsoka left, he hasn't been as happy. And since the attack on his family, he has been going back to his cold ways. Except when he's with his children, he can never be seen with anything other than an angry look in his eye.
