140 AC. Kings Landing
After Ahsoka returned from beyond the wall, she held onto Aemond like he did when she returned home after nearly two years away. She didn't tell him what she saw and he was worried. But he didn't push. That night, instead of taking her like he wanted, he just held her close while she ran her fingers through his chest hair. "Everything's going to be alright, sweet girl." He says to her while he rests his head on hers. She knew he was right, but the anxiety of the literal future weighing on her and her decisions was too much. Ahsoka, in turn, just nuzzled her head into the crook of his neck.
The next morning at the council meeting, Ahsoka was eager to discuss the end of this war. Since Daemon has taken his seat as Master of War decisions regarding tactical matters fell on his shoulders, taking the load off of Aemond. After a moon of being home, much has happened, causing Ahsoka to rethink her approach to the war. Luke sent word to Kings Landing regarding his efforts in Dorne, which have proven successful. After two years of thinking about the other, Luke and Aaliah wed each other. And according to the new law set by Queen Ahsoka, Lucaerys Velaryon became Lucaerys Martell. Prince Consort of Dorne. This means the children born from their union will be given the Martell name. This marriage would be marked in history. Along with the news of their union, Luke spoke of the ships being prepared for the attack on Oldtown and how the final vessels were under inspection. As well as the news of the letter he received from Jacaerys. The letter simply stated, "You will come to regret your decision, Prince Martell." Not even doing his a curtsey of calling him brother.
Alicent: Until Princess Aaliah is ready to sail on Oldtown. We should focus on the Dragonseeds.
Ahsoka: Lady Mysaria. What have you learned?
Mysaria: Your Grace, the pretender, has already found four seeds who have successfully claimed wild dragons of their own. I have also received word of three seeds here in Kings Landing planning to set sail to Dragonstone within the fortnight.
Daemon: Forget the seeds. We should hit Dragonstone hard. With every Dragon we have.
Ahsoka: And what of the villages on the island that will likely fall under fire due to the fighting?
Aemond: The Queen also wishes to preserve the castle. As well as the dragons.
Daemon: Who are they? These seeds. And not to worry, not a hair of their heads will be touched.
Jaxton: That is, of course, if they cooperate, my Lady.
Ahsoka: No harm will come to them. You have my word, Lady Mysaria. I will not fault these people for attempting to claim a better life for themselves and their families. But. If they declare against me, I will have no choice but to fight them when the time comes.
Mysaria: A man named Hugh. A blacksmith on the Street of Steele. As well as two men believed to be brothers. Alyn and Addam. They're working on the Velaryon fleet with Lord Corlys.
Ahsoka: What have you learned of this Hugh?
Mysaria: He has a wife and daughter of Princess Aemmas age. Their child has grown ill.
Ahsoka: I shall pay him a visit. Along with these brothers.
Qarl: Your Grace. Your safety is to be considered.
Aemond: Ser Qarl is right, my love. You are too important. *grabs her hand* And our child.
Ahsoka: *deep breath* I can't rule with fear, husband. Ser Qarl, you will accompany Prince Anakin and I to the Street of Steel.
Alicent: I am not sure if this is a wise decision, your grace.
Aemond: Ahsoka *interrupted*
Ahsoka: Anakin will be King after I am gone. He must show he is worthy to lead. He must learn how fortunate he is to live a life of privilege.
Mysaria: I say that is a wise decision indeed your grace. Princes can be... *looks to Daemon* Troublesome.
Daemon: *scoffs*Before they can continue, a member of Ahsokas Queens Guard comes through the doors and up the steps before taking a bow. "Your Grace. A letter from Prince Daeron." Alicent stands and makes her way to the knight before taking the letter and tearing it open. Reading it to herself in silence first.
