" Sorry about the noise. Hydroelectric power from Philpott Dam. Fresh water from our own underground reservoir. Fresh food from our hydroponic farm, " Dante chuckled, motioning to the piping in the ceiling.

Freya looked up at it with furrowed brows, curiosity running through her veins. " I don't understand. You're on the ground. You know it's survivable. Why would you stay here? " Freya voiced her thoughts

" It's not survivable for us. " Dante answered with a small smile

" The Grounders seem to have managed. " Freya responded in a mumble

" Natural selection works. The Grounders who couldn't survive in the radiation didn't. Those who could pass on their DNA. For better or for worse, we never went through that process. " Dante spoke Spanish to Freya. Or what felt like Spanish to her

" Well, neither did we. We've been on the ground now for solar radiation. " Freya stopped talking in realization. Of course, the solar radiation would make the radiation on earth survivable for them.

" Very good. Your DNA ran through the same gauntlet as the Grounders. Only because radiation levels in space are even higher, your ability to metabolize that radiation is even stronger. " Dante turned down a hall, and the loud noise slowly disappeared

" Truth be told, our scientists were blown away by the efficiency of your systems. If not for that, your friends would still be upstairs in quarantine. Please. " Dante motioned into a room.

Freya walked in, looking at Dante over her shoulder and the two guards beside him. " Your packet contains everything you need to know about Mount Weather, which I promise is not as confusing as the map on page one makes it up to look. You came from level three, which houses our medical facility. "

Freya turned back to the room at the sound of the voice in front of her. Her lips tugged up a little at the group of delinquents that stood in a crowd. Her eyes landed on a certain blonde who stood near the side. Clarke turned and smiled at the sight of Freya in front of her

" Freya! " Jasper yelled as he began to push his way out of the crowd. Monty and Clarke behind him.

" Hey," Freya smiled as the four fell into a large hug together.

" Hi. You're okay. " Clarke grabbed the sides of Freya face and looked over her face at the scabbing cuts and bruising.

" Finn and Bellamy? " Freya asked the three. Clarke crossed her arms and looked at Jasper and Monty, who looked away with a sympathic look.

" Freya, they- they didn't make it," Jasper answered solely.

" We don't know that. What about Raven? " Clarke scoffed at the two boys who still held the sympatic looks

Freya looked down to the floor as her eyes filled with tears. She knee Bellamy didn't make it, but hearing it from Jasper only made it more real. Her chest tightened a great amount, and her head spun.

" Welcome, Freya. If you have any questions, I'm Keenan. " Freya barely even noticed Keenan standing beside her until she thrust a green folder into her hands.

" Freya," Clark slowly spoke, taking a step closer to Freya, who immediately pushed the tears away.

" yea " Freya asked back, not looking up to meet Clarke's eyes.

" There's still out there. Bellamy and Finn, " Clarke suddenly said, and Freya looked up to finally meet her eyes.

" How do you know that?" Freya asked in a low voice. She really wanted to believe Clarke but didn't want to get her hopes up

" I don't, but do you trust me? " Clarke asked, and Freya faltered a little. Why would she tell Freya that they were still alive if she wasn't even sure herself.

Without a word, Freya turned and walked in the direction the others went. Her mind is on an overwhelming marathon of the recent events.

The sound of talking had her looking up, and she landed her eyes on a large table of food. Her mouth watered as she stepped closer to it, wanting to devour the entire wood table

" Freya! Over here. " She turned and looked at Jasper and Monty, who were waving her over. With a smile, she walked over and sat down beside jasper.

" You have to try this pie. " Jasper held out his plate to Monty while Freya filled up her plate. Monty took a small bite of jaspers pie and hummed

" Oh, my God. What is it? " Monty asked, astonished

" I don't know, but it's great. Mm. My turn. " Jasper went to grab a piece from. Montys cake, but he slid the plate away

" What, this? Nah. You won't like it. The pie's way better. " Monty tried to stop Jasper by eating the cake by standing up and holding the cake away.

" Really? Okay. Oh. " Jasper shrugged before he stood and tried to get some cake. Freya smiled at their childish antics, surfing food into her own mouth.

" Hey. " Freya looked up to see Clarke sit down beside Monty

" Sit down and pretend you're happy to see me. " Clarke mumbled, glancing where Dante sat. The two boys sat down while Freya straightened her back a little

" We are happy to see you," Jasper corrected her

" You have to try the chocolate cake. " Monty suddenly said, making Jasper gasp and Freya to chuckle

" Oh, it is so on. " Jasper grumbled, narrowing his eyes on Monty

" I'm not eating their food. Look. They gave us a map with no exits. I need you to tell me everything you've seen. Every room, every hallway, every way out. " Clarke spoke over the two boys, quieting them down.

" Way out? Look around you, Clarke. There's no one hunting us here. For the first time in our lives, we're not hungry. Why would we want to leave? " Jasper cut in aggravated with Clarke for wanting to leave the heavenly place.

" Because we have friends out there who need our help. "Clarke argued back

" They're looking for survivors, and they're way better equipped to find them than we are. " Monty fired at Clarke, who sighed, looking down the papers in front of her.

" This place is too good to be true," Clarke mumbled to herself.

" You're bumming me out. I'm gonna get more cake, " Jasper said before he stood, Clarke following behind, not much later

" Can I have a bite of the cake, Mont? " Freya turned to Monty, who looked up at her with squinted eyes

" .....for the baby," Monty said as he held the plate up for her.

" Yay, " With a smile, Freya took a large scoop from the cake into her mouth. Suddenly, there was a loud alarm going off, making her turn to look for Jasper.

Landing her eyes on jasper, she rushed out the seat when jasper ran out the room with a girl. Leaving Monty to himself, she ran after Jasper and Clarke.
