(Amber eats her muffin outside when Alex and Jo stand in front of her with smiles on their faces)
Amber: What are you two so happy about?
(Jo lifts her left hand showing a diamond ring on her ring finger. Amber stops eating as her eyes widen at the ring)
Amber: No.
Alex: Yes.
Amber: (Smiles) No! Oh my god! You got engaged! You're getting married!
(Amber stands up and laughs as she pulls the two in a tight hug making Alex and Jo stop breathing. Amber pulls back)
Amber: Wait you don't have cancer, do you? Because we know how that last marriage ended Alex. Please say you don't have cancer.
Jo: I don't have cancer.
Alex: We're getting married because I love her not because I love her and she's going to die. I take it your happy.
Amber: (Excited) Are you kidding me?! I am ecstatic! Where are you guys getting married? Have you set a date? Oh! Jo, have you picked out a dress yet?
Alex: Easy alright. We just got engaged last night so cool it with the questions.
Amber: You try keeping it cool when you're finally getting a sister. Oh, and your brother finally found love of course. This so great! I'm so happy for you two, I mean this is the happiest I've been in weeks so thank you for this. I'm invited right?
Jo: Of course, you are. Hey, don't you have trauma certification day with Hunt today?
Amber: I do. Although I'm not in a rush to play doctor with dummies. Any advice before I go in?
Alex: Try not to steal an ambulance.
(Amber gives a confused look before walking inside. She sees Andrew carrying dummies and approaches him)
Amber: Hi, do you have a minute?
Andrew: (Cold tone) Not really. I'm helping Dr. Hunt with this trauma cert, and you should probably get ready Dr. Karev.
Amber: Am I sensing a tone? Because it sounds like you have an ax to grind with me.
Andrew: No ax. I mean I moved on from the fact that you pushed me away after I tried to comfort you despite you treating me like crap for weeks. Oh, and that you tried to use me for sex.
Amber: Andrew-
Andrew: I have to go.
(Andrew walks way leaving Amber feeling guilty for how she treated DeLuca)
AN HOUR LATER
(Amber stands with the interns wearing a gown and green tape indicating her team. Hunt explains Trauma Certification)
Owen: Welcome to Trauma Certification. Moments ago, a Cessna has crashed into a Greyhound bus. The EVAC helicopter is on its way.
April: Yeah, yeah, maybe somewhere else. No, not here. What happened here is that the EVAC helicopter also crashed and is up in flames right now. All right, people are dying. It is your job to save their lives.
Levi: What are the rules?
April: This is real life, Blood bank. In a harsh and uncaring world, the only rule is there are no rules. People are bleeding! People are dying! Go! Go! Go! Why aren't you moving?
(Amber and the others immediately move to get their dummies)
April: Let's go. Hustle. Grab a body. Work on your patient. Get to work. I want to see hustle.
