Training sessions at Arsenal were always intense, but today seemed particularly charged. You, along with your teammates and girlfriend Alessia Russo, were pushing through drills under the watchful eye of the coaches. As a forward, you often found yourself in sync with Alessia on the field, but today, something felt off.

During a passing drill, Alessia's passes seemed sharper than usual, almost like she was deliberately avoiding you. You shrugged it off, attributing it to the competitive spirit of training. However, as the session progressed, you couldn't shake the feeling of distance between you two.

Finally, during a break, you approached Alessia who was hydrating near the sideline. "Hey, Alessia, is everything okay?"

She glanced at you briefly, her expression guarded. "Yeah, everything's fine."

But you knew her well enough to sense there was more to it. "Are you sure? You seem a bit distant today."

Alessia sighed, setting her water bottle down with a hint of frustration. "It's just... I feel like you're not trusting me on the field lately."

Confusion swept over you. "What do you mean? I trust you completely."

"Really?" Her tone was edged with scepticism. "Because during that last drill, I felt like you were hesitating to pass to me."

Your heart sank as you realised what had been causing the tension. "Alessia, it's not that I don't trust you. I just... I've been trying to work on my own decision-making and sometimes I overthink it."

Alessia looked away, her shoulders tense. "I understand, but it's frustrating when I'm open and I don't get the ball."

"I'm sorry," you said softly, reaching out to gently touch her arm. "I didn't mean to make you feel that way. I'll do better, I promise."

She met your gaze, her expression softening. "I know you will. It's just... we're a team, on and off the field. Communication is key."

You nodded, feeling a weight lift off your chest as you understood the source of the tension. "You're right. I'll communicate better and trust both of us to make the right decisions out there."

Alessia smiled, a genuine warmth returning to her eyes. "Good. Because I love playing with you, and I know we can be even better together."

You returned her smile, relief flooding through you. "Me too. Let's finish training strong?"

With renewed determination, you both rejoined the drill, this time more connected than ever. As the session continued, you made sure to communicate clearly with Alessia, reinforcing your trust in each other's abilities. By the end of training, the miscommunication was behind you, replaced by a stronger bond both on and off the pitch.

Training at Arsenal was tough, but facing challenges together with Alessia made every moment worth it.
