The atmosphere at Katie McCabe's place was buzzing. Team bonding nights like these were always a mix of laughter, banter, and a healthy dose of competition among the Arsenal squad. Tonight, the team gathered in Katie's living room, some playing cards, others watching TV, and a few were huddled around in conversation.

You were nestled comfortably on the sofa, chatting with Alessia Russo, your close friend and teammate. The two of you had developed a tight bond over the past season, becoming almost inseparable both on and off the pitch. Tonight was no different as you both enjoyed the relaxed environment, just happy to unwind with your teammates.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs caught everyone's attention. Katie's 20-year-old sister, Ella, appeared in the doorway, her phone in hand and a familiar smile on her face.

"Y/N!" she called out, making a beeline towards you. "Are you coming up to join my TikTok live? You know everyone's been asking about you!"

You couldn't help but grin. Ella had taken to doing TikTok live almost nightly, and you'd become a bit of a regular guest, much to her followers' delight. Before you could respond, Katie's voice rang out from the kitchen.

"Ella, leave everyone alone and go back to your room! You can do your live by yourself like every night when Y/N isn't here!" Katie's tone was firm, but there was a hint of fondness in it.

Ella rolled her eyes playfully, but she didn't back down. "Oh, come on, Katie! Y/N loves doing these with me. Right, Y/N?"

You glanced at Alessia, who was watching the interaction with an amused smile. "Why not?" you said with a shrug, standing up. "But I'm dragging Lessi with me."

Alessia raised an eyebrow, but before she could protest, you grabbed her hand, pulling her along as Ella led the way back up to her room.

Once in Ella's room, the three of you settled onto the bed, Ella already setting up her phone. As soon as the live started, the comments began flooding in, welcoming Ella and expressing excitement at seeing you there.

"Alright, we're live!" Ella announced, her voice bright. "And look who I've got with me—Y/N and Alessia Russo!"

The comments went wild, hearts and emojis flying across the screen. As Ella began reading out the comments, a familiar question popped up.

"Are Y/N and Alessia dating?" Ella read aloud with a mischievous grin. You and Alessia exchanged a look before you both shook your heads.

"No, we're not dating," you replied with a laugh. But as soon as the words left your mouth, the comments exploded with sad emojis and remarks like "You'd be so good together!" and "Power couple vibes!"

Alessia chuckled, a slight blush coloring her cheeks. "Guess they've decided for us, huh?"

Ella, never one to shy away from stirring the pot, added, "I mean, you two do spend a lot of time together... just saying!"

Another question popped up, and Ella read it aloud. "Who's the better footballer—Y/N or Alessia?"

You both groaned in unison, knowing the answer could only lead to more playful teasing. "We're teammates! No need for comparisons," Alessia said, but Ella wasn't having it.

"Come on, give the people what they want!" she teased.

"Alright, fine," you said, rolling your eyes. "It's Alessia. She's the goal machine, after all."

Alessia shook her head, laughing. "Don't sell yourself short, Y/N. You're a beast on the pitch."

The next question was directed at you, asking, "How much do you like doing these TikTok lives?"

You grinned, glancing at Ella. "Honestly? I love them. It's fun, and Ella's followers are always so nice. Plus, it's a great way to unwind after a long day."

Ella beamed, clearly pleased with your answer. "See? Y/N's practically a McCabe at this point. Which reminds me, someone asked, 'Is Y/N secretly a McCabe? She's always at Katie's.'"

You laughed, shaking your head. "I guess I'm an honorary McCabe. I do spend a lot of time here, but I'm not secretly related, promise."

The live continued with more questions, ranging from your favourite pre-match rituals to Alessia's most memorable goal. The atmosphere was light and fun, and the three of you found yourselves laughing more often than not.

As the live session wound down, one final comment caught your eye. It was simple but heartfelt: "We love seeing the bond between you three. Keep shining, girls!"

You smiled, feeling a warmth in your chest as you glanced at Alessia and Ella. "Thanks for having us, Ella," you said softly.

Ella grinned, ending the live. "Anytime, Y/N. And who knows? Maybe one day I'll get to announce that you two are dating!"

You and Alessia laughed, shaking your heads as you all made your way back downstairs, where the rest of the team was still hanging out.

As the night went on, you couldn't help but think about the comments from the live. There was no denying the bond you shared with Alessia, and while you weren't dating, it was clear that everyone saw just how well you fit together. Maybe, just maybe, they weren't entirely wrong.

But for now, you were content with where you were—teammates, best friends, and maybe, just maybe, something more in the future.
