A Risk Worth Taking

You stood in the dimly lit hallway of the team's hotel, arms crossed over your chest as you glared at Alessia Russo. She had that signature mischievous grin on her face, the one that usually meant trouble, and this time was no exception.

"I cannot emphasize just how immeasurably fucking stupid this idea is," you hissed, glancing around nervously to make sure no one else was within earshot.

Alessia just chuckled, clearly not taking your concern seriously. "Oh, come on! Where's your sense of adventure? It'll be fun, I promise."

You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "Sneaking onto the hotel roof in the middle of the night to see the sunrise? Less, you know we could get caught, right? Or worse, thrown out of the hotel!"

She stepped closer, her eyes softening as she looked at you. "But think about it, Y/N. The view, just the two of us, no one else around... It'll be worth it." Her voice dropped to a whisper as she added, "You and me, together."

Your resolve wavered as you stared into her blue eyes. It was impossible to say no when she looked at you like that. Alessia had always been able to talk you into things—some great, some not so much. But this...

You groaned, unable to resist any longer. "Fine. But if we get caught, I'm blaming you."

Alessia's grin widened, and she grabbed your hand, pulling you towards the stairwell. "Deal. But trust me, you won't regret it."

The two of you crept through the hotel, carefully avoiding any staff or teammates who might be wandering the halls. Every creak of the floorboards made your heart race, but Alessia's infectious excitement kept you moving forward. When you finally reached the door leading to the roof, she looked back at you, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze before she carefully opened it.

The night air was cool and crisp as you stepped onto the roof. The city stretched out before you, twinkling lights below contrasting with the dark sky above. Alessia found a spot near the edge, sitting down and motioning for you to join her.

As you settled beside her, you couldn't help but take in the view. The city seemed almost peaceful from up here, far removed from the chaos of the day. Alessia wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. "See? Told you it was a good idea."

You rolled your eyes but couldn't help smiling. "I never said it wasn't. Just that it was stupid."

She laughed softly, her breath warm against your ear. "Maybe. But sometimes the stupid ideas are the best ones."

You leaned your head against her shoulder, feeling the steady rise and fall of her breath. The sun hadn't risen yet, but the sky was starting to lighten just a bit, a soft glow on the horizon. As the first hints of dawn began to appear, you realised Alessia was right. This moment, just the two of you, was perfect.

"Thank you," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper.

"For what?" she asked, turning her head slightly to look at you.

"For being you. For convincing me to do ridiculous things like this." You smiled, meeting her gaze.

Alessia's eyes softened, and she leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. "I'll always have your back, Y/N. Even when my ideas are a little...out there."

The two of you sat in comfortable silence, watching as the sky gradually turned from dark blue to pink and orange. The sun slowly peeked over the horizon, casting a golden light over the city. In that moment, all your earlier worries seemed distant, insignificant compared to the warmth of Alessia by your side.

Maybe it was a stupid idea, but it was one you'd treasure forever.
