The crisp autumn air embraced you as you stood outside the stadium, waiting for your girlfriend Alessia Russo to finish her post-match interviews. The match had been exhilarating, a close call that ended in victory for her team. But while the atmosphere was charged with excitement, you were starting to feel the chill settle into your bones.
You glanced down at your outfit—a light jacket over a thin sweater and jeans. It had seemed adequate when you left the house earlier, but as the sun dipped below the horizon, the temperature had dropped faster than expected.
Alessia finally emerged from the stadium, a wide grin on her face as she hurried towards you. "Hey, babe! Sorry for the delay."
You managed a smile, though your teeth were starting to chatter. "No worries, Less. Great game out there!"
As Alessia came closer, she immediately noticed your discomfort. "Hey, are you alright? You look freezing!"
You rubbed your arms, trying to ward off the chill. "I... underestimated how cold it would get. Didn't dress properly, I guess."
Alessia chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Typical you. Should've known you'd need something warmer." She shrugged off her team jacket and draped it over your shoulders. "Here, this should help."
You gratefully pulled the jacket tighter around you, instantly feeling the warmth it provided. "Thanks, Less. Sorry to steal your jacket."
She waved off your apology. "Don't worry about it. It's my fault anyway—I should've reminded you to bring something warmer."
You leaned against her, enjoying the closeness and the shared warmth. "Guess we both underestimated the weather."
Alessia laughed softly, pressing a kiss to your temple. "We make a great team, huh?"
"Yeah," you agreed, smiling up at her. "Even when we're both freezing."
She kissed you again, softly this time, her lips lingering against yours. "Next time, we'll be better prepared. But for now, let's get you warmed up."
Arm in arm, you walked together towards the car, the chill of the evening air forgotten in the warmth of Alessia's presence and the shared jacket enveloping you both.
