The arrival of Alessia Russo at Arsenal was supposed to be just another exciting transfer in the world of women's football. For you, though, it was the beginning of something unexpected, something wonderful. You had joined Arsenal a season before her, settling into the squad with ease. But when Alessia arrived, bringing her infectious energy and bright smile, your world tilted slightly on its axis.

It started with small, stolen moments. After training sessions, you'd find yourselves gravitating toward each other, talking about anything and everything. Soon, those moments became more frequent—lingering looks across the locker room, late-night conversations in the hotel during away games, and eventually, secret rendezvous that neither of you could resist.

You both knew it was complicated. Being in a relationship with a teammate was one thing, but hiding it from the world was another. The most challenging part, though, was keeping it from your sister, Lucy Bronze.

Lucy was fiercely protective of you. As England's star right-back and your older sister, she had always watched over you, both on and off the pitch. The thought of her finding out about you and Alessia before you were ready to tell her was daunting, to say the least. So, you and Alessia agreed to keep your relationship under wraps, at least for a while.

But secrets have a way of coming out, especially when you're surrounded by teammates who are as close as family.

It was the first day of England camp, and the air buzzed with excitement as everyone reunited. You and Alessia had perfected the art of being discreet—no lingering touches, no obvious signs that anything was different. Still, there was an underlying tension in the air, a sense that something could give your secret away at any moment.

Lucy, as always, was by your side, chatting with the other players and throwing an arm around your shoulders. You tried to focus on the conversation, but your eyes kept drifting to Alessia, who was standing a few feet away, laughing with Ella Toone and Leah Williamson. She caught your eye and winked subtly, causing your heart to skip a beat.

As the day went on, you became more aware of Lucy's observant nature. Every time she caught you looking at Alessia, you quickly averted your gaze, hoping she hadn't noticed. But you underestimated your sister.

That evening, after a particularly intense training session, you found yourself alone in the locker room, stretching out tired muscles. The door creaked open, and you looked up to see Lucy leaning against the frame, her arms crossed and a knowing smile on her face.

"You know," she began, her tone teasing, "you're not as subtle as you think you are."

Your heart sank, and you immediately sat up. "What do you mean?"

Lucy chuckled, pushing off the door frame and walking toward you. "I mean, the way you've been looking at Alessia all day. And don't even get me started on the way she looks at you."

You opened your mouth to respond, but no words came out. The jig was up.

"Relax," Lucy said, her smile widening. "I'm not mad. In fact, I'm thrilled."

"Thrilled?" you repeated, dumbfounded.

"Of course! Alessia's great. I've always thought so," she said, sitting down beside you. "And I've noticed how happy she makes you. I just didn't want to say anything until you were ready to talk about it."

You let out a breath you didn't realise you'd been holding. "I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner, Luce. We just...wanted to keep it to ourselves for a little while."

Lucy reached out, squeezing your hand gently. "I get it. But you don't have to hide it from me. I'm your sister, and I want you to be happy. And if Alessia makes you happy, then that's all I care about."

You felt a wave of relief wash over you as Lucy pulled you into a tight hug. "Thanks, Luce. That means a lot."

She pulled back, grinning. "Now, the real question is, when do I get to start teasing Alessia about dating my little sister?"

You laughed, the tension finally dissipating. "Maybe give her a day or two to recover from the shock?"

Lucy winked. "Deal."

That night, as you lay in bed, you felt a warm sense of contentment settle over you. When you told Alessia about the conversation with Lucy, she was equally relieved and excited.

The next day at breakfast, Lucy made good on her promise, playfully teasing Alessia about keeping the relationship a secret. Alessia blushed, but she took it in stride, knowing that she was now truly part of the Bronze family.

As the three of you walked to training together, laughing and joking, you couldn't help but feel grateful. Your relationship with Alessia had started in secret, but now, with Lucy's blessing, it felt like it had finally found its place—right where it belonged, in the open, surrounded by love.
