You and Alessia Russo had been dating for a few months now, and it was clear to anyone who saw the two of you together that you were hopelessly in love. Alessia was a rising star in women's football, and you were her biggest supporter. One lazy Sunday afternoon, you found yourselves lounging on the couch in Alessia's apartment, flipping through old photo albums.
"This is so cute," you remarked, holding up a picture of Alessia as a baby, dressed in a tiny football jersey that looked comically oversized on her small frame.
Alessia groaned and snatched the photo from your hand, her cheeks flushing pink. "Oh no, not that one."
You couldn't help but tease her. "Aw, little baby Alessia, already a football star in the making."
She buried her face in her hands. "My mum always said she knew I'd end up playing football, even back then. I think she started training me with a ball before I could walk."
You laughed, placing the album aside and pulling Alessia closer to you. "You were destined for greatness, even as a baby."
She sighed dramatically. "I just wish my family wouldn't bring out these embarrassing photos every time we have a gathering."
You kissed her forehead affectionately. "Well, I think they're adorable. And it's nice to see a different side of you, away from the fierce competitor everyone knows."
Alessia leaned into your touch, her embarrassment melting away as she gazed at you with soft eyes. "Thanks for not making fun of me too much."
"Never," you promised, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "I love all sides of you, Alessia Russo."
She smiled, her fingers tracing patterns on your arm. "I'm glad you're here with me, looking at these photos. It's nice to share these memories with someone special."
You leaned in to kiss her, savouring the moment and feeling grateful for lazy Sundays, old photo albums, and the opportunity to make new memories with the woman you loved.
