England camp was always a special time. It was a chance for the nation's best to come together, to train, bond, and ultimately, prepare for the next big match. But for you, it was so much more. England camp was the one time you got to spend every waking minute with Alessia Russo, your girlfriend and the love of your life.

The problem? You played for Manchester City, and she played for Arsenal. With your busy schedules, game days, and travel, finding time to be together was tough. But here, at St. George's Park, you were inseparable.

And everybody knew it.

You had just finished a gruelling training session. The sun was shining, the mood was light, and after a quick shower and change, you and Alessia were practically glued to each other's sides as you walked back to the players' lounge.

"Did you see that header I almost nailed?" Alessia asked, grinning as she threw her arm around your shoulders.

"Almost?" you teased, leaning into her touch. "Babe, you nailed it. Next time, just make sure it's on target, yeah?"

"Oh, shush," she playfully nudges you, her fingers brushing lightly against your arm, the contact sending a familiar warmth coursing through you. You couldn't resist the urge to steal a quick kiss, your lips meeting hers in a soft, sweet moment.

From across the room, Ella Toone let out a dramatic gag. "Oh my God, will you two get a room or something? Seriously, it's like watching a rom-com, but worse."

You turned, narrowing your eyes at Ella, but couldn't hide the smile tugging at your lips. "Jealous, Tooney? Maybe you need a camp cuddle buddy too."

"Ew, no thanks," Ella quipped, pretending to shudder. "I'd rather not catch whatever lovesick puppy disease you two have."

Alessia couldn't help but laugh, leaning into you even more. "You know, Tooney, if you keep making that face, it might get stuck like that. And then who's gonna want to date you?"

"Oh, please," Ella rolled her eyes. "I don't need anyone. I've got my football. And that, my friends, is the only true love you'll ever need."

Chloe Kelly, who was lounging on one of the beanbags, chimed in with a grin. "Nah, Ella, we all know you're just bitter because Y/N rejected your advances back in the U17s."

"Oi! That was one time!" Ella shot back, a flush creeping up her neck. "And it wasn't even serious."

You chuckled, holding your hands up in mock surrender. "Hey, it's not my fault I'm irresistible."

"Please, the two of you are unbearable," Georgia Stanway interjected as she walked by, tossing a water bottle onto the table. "Every time I turn around, you're either snogging or making googly eyes at each other. It's like living in a sappy rom-com."

Alessia smirked, pulling you closer and pressing another kiss to your temple. "What can I say? We're in love. You'll just have to deal with it."

Leah Williamson, sitting nearby, couldn't resist joining in. "You know, you two are setting the bar really high for couple goals. I think the rest of us might just give up now."

You laughed, leaning into Alessia's side. "Well, we're happy to be of service. Just trying to show you all how it's done."

Ella made another exaggerated gagging noise, causing the whole room to burst into laughter. "I swear, if I have to see one more public display of affection from you two, I'm going to need therapy."

"Oh, come on, Tooney," Alessia teased, "We know you love us."

"Yeah, yeah," Ella grumbled, though the smile on her face betrayed her true feelings. "Just... tone it down a bit, yeah? Some of us are trying to keep our food down."

You and Alessia shared a conspiratorial look before Alessia winked at you, a mischievous glint in her eye. "No promises."

As the banter continued, the day passed in a blur of laughter, teasing, and the occasional stolen kiss. You were well aware of the jokes and the playful jabs from the other girls, but you didn't care. England camp was your time, your little bubble of happiness with Alessia. And you wouldn't trade it for the world.

Because as long as you had her by your side, everything was perfect—even with Ella's gagging noises echoing in the background.
