Thanksgiving is 2 days away and since we're hosting, we want to ensure everything is perfect. It'll be our first time inviting everyone over to the house, and I know how much that is stressing Liv out, so right now, it's all hands on deck.
"Babe, you got the turkey out of the freezer and put it in the fridge, right?" She asked as she walked into the pantry.
"Yes, I did. Baby, what are you looking for?" I ask her as she comes fully into the kitchen.

"I'm just making sure that I have everything. The last thing I want to do is go to the store 2 days before Thanksgiving. The crowd is ridiculous at this time." She says as I help her look.
Everyone knows to shop maybe a good week before Thanksgiving so that way you'll miss the crowd but with everything that happened, we haven't had time. Luckily, my mom is coming over and she has some things we could use, so thanks to her.
"If you need something from the store, Alex and I can go get it. Plus, it would be a good bonding opportunity. Also, don't forget my mom is bringing some things as well, so you can use some of that." I tell her as she shakes her head.
"No, I couldn't possibly use her things. Babe, that's so sweet. I love how you and Alex are starting to bond, it's just so adorable. Oh, don't forget to get something for the team's Friendsgiving party tonight as well." She tells me as I suck my teeth and hold her hand.

This is an annual celebration that the team has and it's always boring. I know these events are considered "team bonding" but something always ends up going down and we become less of brothers and more like enemies. I know how important this is to our coach, so showing up is how we honor that.

We have to leave at 4 and it's currently 2:30 and I am nowhere near ready to leave. I'm trying to make sure that everything looks good for Thursday and since I am an overthinker, I've switched things around maybe 20 times.
