"I don't believe you'll be able to run for weeks actually." Dr. Kari told me as she slid back in her chair that was on wheels
I looked over at my older sister with a look that had no hope. "Are you sure? What about gymnastics?" Ryleia spoke up for me
"I'm sorry, but that'll be a no as well. She should just take this time to rest. I'm going to give her a knee brace for her to wear when she feels needed, and compression knee sleeves for when she leaves home. Also, some pain meds." She said
My heart damn near dropped to my feet, I loved running but just the feeling of flipping was euphoric... not even being dramatic
Gymnastics was year round and I had been doing it since a little girl, I loved doing it
"Umm how many weeks?" I asked with a concerned tone
"3 weeks for running and 5 weeks for gymnastics. When starting back sports, wear knee compressions for about a month." She nodded her head as she talked
Right after that I zoned out and was just looking at her mouth move, but I just didn't hear anything
"Earth to Yuri, hellooo." Ryleia waved her hand in my face, snapping me out of the zone
"Yeah, what's up?"
"Do you need slips for your sports to give to your coach?" Dr. Kari asked, clearing her throat
I nodded my head in response. "Okay, I'm going to give you two, one for track and one for gymnastics." She said
While she filled out papers, I looked over at Ryleia and Samai because they were looking at me
I squinted my eyes, then looked away while grabbing my phone out of my back pocket

I placed my phone down on my thigh, sighing. Really I was ready to leave the doctor's office to get something to eat
The doctor gave Ryleia a few papers and a packet along with the slips for my coaches, then we were able to leave
