"You don't know what's the next step in this little machine you building?" I asked Sergio, sitting next to him on his bed
We both were sitting at the edge of his bed, looking at the contraption in front of us that was supposed to be the machine that tracked brain waves, activity, and changes
"I do know the next step, you just don't see it. I know what I'm doin' next, trust me." He said, and I side eyed him
"I mean I believe in you for sure, but this isn't very convincing."
There were a thousand pieces on the floor and some were together, so I didn't know where in the hell he was going with this
"If your smiley ass don't let me do my thing, trust the process." He said, trying to tell me to just vibe and I rolled my eyes
"Okay, whatever. I don't even wanna talk about this project, what you wanna talk about?" I asked, looking at him, fixing my glasses on my face
"Nun for real, I'm tryna watch this movie."
"Alright." I said, waiting on his next move
He stood up from the bed and took my hand, leading me out of the bedroom into the living room where we sat at
His apartment was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, I was curious about why he moved out so soon but it was impressive
While looking at him grab the remote, I wanted to ask if he was still upset with me but he told me to stop asking him that and he wasn't upset a million times ago
"You want- stop lookin' at me." He started, then looked at me
"Shut up, do I want what?" I rolled my eyes
"Some food, nigga." He smacked his teeth, mugging me
"Why you getting feisty?" I gave him the same exact look back
"You love that word, Ian feisty at all. What you want to eat?"
"Um boneless wings." I shrugged, moving my eyes to the TV
"Aight." He said, pulling out his phone and I scooted closer towards him
He snaked his arm around my body, using that hand to grip my inner thigh as I put a blanket over the both of us but mostly me.
"You want Buffalo Wild Wings?" He asked
"Hell no." I frowned
