"I been practicing my routine a lot because every time I end up falling towards the end and I don't wanna do that at comp. You wanna come to my competition?" I went on and on in my conversation with Sergio, we were on FaceTime
"I also have to change my intern schedule to fit practice so I get no free-" I began but he cut me off
"Slow down, Yuri. When the competition?"
"It's in two weeks." I told
"Alright, I'm there." He nodded slowly
"Continue."
"Okay so yeah I have to fit my schedule to fit school and practice so I'm never going to get any free time like Monday-Thursday I have practice from 4-8 so I'm going to have to change my internship schedule to Friday to Sunday. I mean actually I will get free time on the days I don't have practice- wait, I have to do lashes like what the fuck." I continued as he said
"You busy as hell, but the outcome gonna make it all worth it and it ain't all for nothing." He said
"I get it, but now I gotta go adjust my booking site to only the weekends. I be feeling overwhelmed at times." I sighed
"You wanna know what I suggest?" He asked softly
"Duh!"
"Do all the school work you have to in school, that leave time for whatever after school. Keep doing what you doing in practice because it's obviously working. But, Ion think you should do lashes on Sunday, you need sum type of time to yourself." He advised
I nodded in return. "On Fridays I'll have my internship from 4-7, and on Sundays and Saturdays I can do 9 to 12."
"Exactly, then the rest of them two days is your free time unless you got sum to do." He shrugged
"Sighhhh, I'm ready to go to college so I can stop working, but they do have a Miami Club Gymnastics team that's linked to the University of Miami." I sighed
"Oh, you gon' stop working but still be doing gymnastics?" He asked, I nodded back
"Yep, Ima be flipping my ass off."
"Mannn, so you going to the University of Miami?" He questioned
"Yes, we ended up touring it and I liked it. I wanted to be in Florida also but my dad doesn't want me to go to an HBCU so it's kinda like a compromise, but I win more."
