It had taken them an entire day to rescue us after they had taken Winter away.

We were all safely extracted, including the other group we had encountered in that hellish place.

My heart thumped heavily within my chest as we crossed the city border, providing a different perspective compared to the place where all we can see was chaos.

As the neighboring city came into view out the window of the helicopter, A mix of hope and relief filled me as we flew closer, the sight of civilization bringing me peace. Finally.

We had finally escaped that hellish nightmare, leaving behind the chaos and trauma that would no doubt remain etched in our memories. Undoubtedly, the mess that will change my life, forever.

...

We were immediately transported to a hospital.

The helicopter touched down on the rooftop of the hospital, where a helipad was placed.

The medical personnel the immediately assisted us, holding my arm to help me disembark from the aircraft. To my surprise, my body felt unusually weak.

Unlike the others, who were quickly transferred to hospital gurneys due to their severe injuries, I was guided down on my own two feet.

A nurse then approached me, her voice filled with concern.

"Ma'am, do you feel alright?"

"Isn't it obvious?! What do you want me to feel after everything? Do you even know the struggle I've been through?!" I exploded in frustration.

The nurse looked at me, her expression filled with surprise at my outburst and my words. However, she quickly composed herself and guided me towards the elevator.

We made our way down the hallway, our footsteps echoing softly against the tiles.

Along the way, few patients and random passersby couldn't help but glance at me, their gazes a mix of curiosity and disgust.

It was no wonder, I was a messy sight. My clothes were stained with blood, and the stench that clung to me was undoubtedly far from pleasant.

As we walked down the hall, I couldn't help but shoot warning glares at the people we passed by. My feelings were still raw, and the exhaustion from the ordeal made me quick to anger. They had no right to judge me, considering what I had gone through.

We arrived at the room designated for us, where others were already present.

I sank down onto the hospital bed, and the nurse quickly began checking my vital signs and overall condition.

I lifted my gaze to the nurse who was examining the clipboard in her hand.

"Can I ask for a favor?" She nodded.
