" I think that's the last of the amount of shit you brought here." Matthew huffed as he set down the last box in Madisyn and Julie's dorm room. The two girls giggled.

" I appreciate it, thank you." Madisyn thanked him.

Matthew nodded, " Yeah, yeah, no problem. I'm gonna leave now actually."

He grabbed his jacket from the back of Madisyn's desk chair, putting it on himself. Julie bid the man a goodbye and he and Madisyn walked out of the dorm room. Madisyn closed the door as she left, walking down the hall. No words were spoken between the two of them, a comfortable silence settled. They made it to the front of the dorm house entrance, walking outside where Matthew's car was parked right out front.

" You gonna be okay in here?" Matthew asked Madisyn, fishing his car keys out of his pocket and nodding back to the place.

Madisyn smiled at him. " I think I'll be just fine."

" You know, the offer still stands for staying at my house." Matthew reminded her. They walked to the driver's side of the car and he unlocked the door, opening it but not getting in just yet.

" I wouldn't want to intrude." Madisyn shrugged, telling him after, " Or burden you with driving me to school."

Matthew let out a loud over exaggerated laugh and told her, " Oh no, there's a bus for that." Madisyn grinned, rolling her eyes. He smiled at her. " And there's no intruding going on. You know you're more than welcome to stay with me if you end up hating it here."

" I wouldn't wanna leave Julie by herself." Madisyn mentioned the girl, looking over to the window where she could see the silhouette of Julie moving in their room.

" And you're a good friend for that." Matthew reached out, ruffling her hair before getting into the car. He shut the door and turned the car on, rolling down the window. " You can reach out, y'know. Don't think it's all awkward or anything because I'm just your mom's boyfriend."

" We both know I know it's not awkward." Madisyn grinned at him and took a few steps back from the car. " I'll come see you guys soon, when I'm not piling up with homework."

" Have fun." Matthew told her and put the car into drive. He pulled forward, yelling out the window, " Don't do anything I wouldn't do!"

Madisyn laughed at the man. She watched as the car pulled out of view before she started walking into the dorm house. Looking at her shoes, she opened the door and walked in. Well, walked into somebody. With wide eyes, Madisyn backed up quickly.

" Sorry!"

" It's fine." A masculine voice told her. She looked up and saw a boy with a smile and brown eyes looking down at her. " Oh hey, you're part of the new J.V. team. Aren't you?" He asked her and she slowly nodded.
