Madisyn walked through the halls, weaving her way in and out of people's way with her textbooks tightly wrapped to her chest. Everyone had already gone to the cafeteria but Madisyn stayed back to go talk to her pre-calc teacher about extra credit homework. She was denied any but got told from her homework submitted, there was no need for her to get any extra credit work. Misses Orminston wasn't so bad after all.

" I heard from a little birdie that you got kicked out of your position on your team." A voice spoke up from beside Madisyn. She looked over annoyed and saw Rick Riley, the brunette jock.

" Yes, I did. You stalking me, Riley?" She gave him a sarcastic smile. Rick gave her one back.

" Leave her alone, Rick. She doesn't need you being a douchebag everyday." Miles said, coming up behind them and pushing Rick away. Madisyn grinned.

Rick rolled his eyes but there was a grin on his face. He ruffled his little brother's hair, giving Madisyn a wink before walking back over to varsity. The girl let out an annoyed huff, Miles giving a sympathetic look to her. " Sorry 'bout him." He apologized on his brother's behalf.

She shrugged, " Not everyone can pick their siblings."

" He's a good guy, I swear." Miles tried to convince her. Madisyn gave him a look of doubt and he sheepishly grinned. " He's a good guy when he wants to be."

" Right, and I'm totally not a part of the team of hockey players he despises for no reason." Madisyn looked over to Miles as they turned left. " I think he's just being bitter towards us for you."

" Most likely, yeah." The two laughed before stopping at her locker and seeing Adam waiting there. Miles looked down awkwardly once he noticed the glare Adam was giving him.

" Miles, this is Adam Banks. Adam, this is Miles Riley." Madisyn introduced the two boys, watching as a flash of recognition passed over Adam's face when he was introduced to the other boy.

" Congrats on making varsity, man." Miles said, slapping Adam's shoulder. Adam gave him an awkward grin. Miles noticed the blonde's discomfort and removed his hand. " I'm gonna go. Nice to finally meet ya." Miles grinned before beginning to walk away. He waved at Madisyn, who waved back.

Adam turned to look at her and a real smile was set on his face. Madisyn couldn't help but smile at his happy aura. He leaned down and pecked her lips. Madisyn opened her locker and put away the textbooks and her notebook.

" So what's on the agenda today? Anytime to hang out with your favorite boyfriend?" Adam asked. Madisyn looked at her timetable, giving a shake of her head.
