Chapter 45

"Doubles? That's it.. it'll explain everything! This guy has some busted ability that's for sure.." Brick says.

"My sand is limited right now, I can't seem to reach him! It seems that right now I can only defend. John is out... So Daw- you have to defeat him! Find something!" Mohammad says.

"Brother.. I'll find something. You can put everything on that! I need to be blessed.. Allah come to me!" Daw raises himself from cover. He begins firing a. Continuous beam of pure light towards the gunman.

"So you two are brothers? I see! It's too bad he'll see you die, right before his eyes!" He fires out of a pistol, the bullet going towards Daw.

"BROTHER! NOW!" Mohammad yells.

Daw suddenly turning, winking, "What‽" The man says, suddenly seeing as sand raises itself from the ground and blocks the bullet. Daw firing light at the sand, heating the sand and turning it into a wall of glass.

"That's not it!" Daw says, the sand than shooting back the two bullets and shattering the glass shards towards the gunman.

He falls as the glass shards go towards him and stabbing his face directly, "DAMN YOU! DAMN THEM... THE BASTARDS! I- NASSER WILL NOT FAIL! NEVER!!!" Nasser yelled.

"That's his name? Hah! And I thought he'd be more threatening!" Daw says.

"That strategy worked, but it didn't put him down yet. And right now he's pissed off." Brick says.

Nasser immediately raising from the ground and his rifle shooting bullets everywhere. The bullets ricochet and nearly end up hitting them, having them all on the corners of their cover, "You will not leave this place alive... I promise you will not leave alive! Never.. EVER!" Nasser yelled, "You have.. only a measley five seconds before you move out of your cover and die. If you don't move, you'll die."

"Die? What's he planning.." Brick says, seeing as Nasser raises his hand. In his hand is a grenade, immediately pulling the pin and throwing it towards Daw, "GRENADE! GET OUT OF THERE NOW!" Brick yelled.

"Mohammad!" Daw yells, the sand quickly covering over the grenade.

"But.. there is double!" Nasser says with a smile across his face.

"Double? It- there!" Daw yells, horrified seeing as the other grenade laid right there before them.

"NO! I MISSED IT!" Mohammad yells.

"DAW!" Brick yells, running towards them.

"BRICK YOU'LL DIE!" Daw yells out.

Brick laying on top of the grenade, planting himself over it, everyone anticipating the explosion, "And there goes one." Nasser says.

A second passes, complete silence. Nasser looks down, seeing as Brick layed there on the floor, "W- why isn't it.." Daw completely shocked and barely able to speak.

Brick slowly gets up, the grenade nowhere to be found, "Well won't you look at that. Perfect timing." Brick smiles, looking up at Nasser.

"Timing? Timing of what? WHAT HAPPEN TO THE OTHER GRENADE!" Nasser says, enraged.

"Grenade? It exploded."

"IT DID NOT!" Nasser again yells out.

"It did."

"HOW? I DIDN'T SEE OR HEAR IT!"

Brick smiles, "Maybe because it was wrapped around multiple inches of concrete."

"HUH? HOW- HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE TO BE DONE SO QUICK?"

"Why, you don't know of my power?"

"Power?" They all say in unison.
