Chapter 4

"Stupid shoes! They need to hurry up and be put on- quicker!" Julia says, struggling to put on the boots as she sat on the ground.

"Come on! Those boots again? Those things always take forever for you to put them on!" Kendrick says, staring down at Julia.

"Damn it.. need help than.." She looks up at Kendrick.

"Please..?"

"Fine." Kendrick kneels down, smacking the bottom of the boot right into place.

"There! Snug as a bug right?"

Kendrick scoffs, "Yeah.. anyways the others need to hurry! Before we miss the damn party!"

"Hey I'm here alright? Alright?" Jacob says, leaping off the stairs and landing down.

Sapphire walks down the stairs, "You don't have to jump off of them, you can just like down them like any normal person you know?"

"Yeah- it's just that Sawr having a birthday party today is so- strange! I thought his birthday was earlier in the year!" Jacob says walking outside as they walk into their cars. The three of them begin to drive away from their home in the fields and beggining to drive towards the suburban area, "I could've sworn Sawr's birthday was some other time- right?" Jacob says.

"Well you're pretty clumsy, so I wouldn't exactly trust your mind dad!" Julia says, poking fun at him.

"Well than- is your little friend going too? I bet he's too busy typing away at some typewriter with those numbers again like what Jessie does!"

"He's not a friend- it's my boyfriend already, and anytime now he'll propose- and also he's not just typing away his mind! He's a financier! Doing all sorts of- erm.. calculations and.. predictions and.. well I don't know." Julia says.

"How're you going to be with a man like that when you struggled to put on boots today?"

"SHHHHH!" Julia shushes Kendrick as Kendrick laughed. The car than stops, as them park at Sawr's home in the suburbs, seeing everyone else just arriving.

"Ron and Ronnie, my favorite twins!" Kendrick says, shaking both of their hands.

"Yeuppp!! Me and Ronnie going to cook everything up!" Ron says.

"Cook- I thought you were the cook?" Ronnie says.

"You're gonna help!"

Jordan walks towards them, "So glad we can finally meet- right?" Jordan greets them, as he does a side hug.

"Julia? Oh Julia you're here!" Jessie says, running towards Julia, hugging her.

"What's with the- squeeze!?" Julia says.

"Oh- just.. a little something's got me extra excited today, that's all!" Jessie says

"Say than, where is Sawr? He's almost always outside by now- peeping out through his windows." Jordan says.

Julia feels a tear fall down her eye, "Huh?" She says as she rubs the rear off.

Suddenly they feel a shake in the ground, a small shake but still a shake, "What was that.." Jacob whispers to himself, he looks around. He sees the cars all shaking slightly almost in synchronization.

"You guys feel that right?" Jordan asks.

"Yeah- we sure do!" Ron says.

"What is that? Is there some digging operation of sorts?" Crystal says, suddenly she collapses to her knees.

"Are you alright!?" Jacob says, helong Crystal back up.

"Y- yeah! I can feel it.. the shaking getting more and more intense!" Crystal says, getting back up.
