He woke up, raising himself from his bed. He was calm and collected, even a little bit happy and in acceptance. He stepped out now as a lone man into the grasslands that carried on rolling hills forever and ever. He was not upset anymore nor did he harbor any hatred. He looked down at his hands, "I now see it. I see my wrong doings. And I have it now." He reaches over for a Bible which was on the table and he smiled, "I come back to you, and I ask for forgiveness, Lord. You are real and you love us all." He puts his hand to his forehead, "In the name of the father" He than puts his hand to his sternum, "The son." He puts his hand over his leg tand right shoulder, "And the holy Spirit." He makes a cross using his thumb and pointer finger and kisses the cross made with his fingers, "Amen."

He stepped outside for fresh hair. It was morning, the sun came over the hill out East and the sunlight kissed the grass and ground. He remembered the last time he was staring off at the sun at that exact same position, with the same feeling. Except only now he felt even further empowered, and he knows more now, "We are so young, too young to have been fighting each other." He said to himself, remembering his former years. He cried and kneeled to the floor as he remembered the times he was angry and violent. He began to realize that he had hurt so many people, and that in truth no body deserved to ever have suffered because of him. The sun was warm and inviting, and he loved it. He got back up and wiped his tears, he than realized that he had just cried. And he hasn't cried in a long time. He lays down in the grass and looks at the sky, closing his eyes as if he were to sleep. He opens his eyes back up and the sun was warming him up, he smiled even further as the sun warmed him up, "God you are great! You are amazing! You give this world, you let me experience this! And I love you! Thank you for letting me experience anything at all!" He cheered, picking up grass and throwing it in the air as though he were a child, "You never gave up on me... Jesus- Oh Jesus, I call to you! To tell everyone that I love them! That I miss them, and I love them! That they'll be with you in heaven, and it's going to be okay!" He yelled out. He spent the whole day admiring the world around him. He knew there was terrible and ugly, but he didn't let it ruin him at all. He simply admitted the world, and that he did the whole day. He stared at things for a long while, in gratefulness that he could even experience such a thing and it would make him smile. He was child-like in emotions, constantly happy even if there was no reason to be happy, he would continue on smiling.

He would than go on to bathe. He dipped himself in the water, almost as though he were baptizing himself and he felt clean all around. He felt as though all the weight of feeling wrong was lifted and that he was fresh, that he was new. It also made him clean from the disgusting smell and dirtiness he once had, somehow rubbing it all off at an instant.

Late in the day as the sun was setting multiple men with rifles all came riding on horses outside of his hovel. Brick stood up and looked at the men, "Stop right there!" One of the men said, aiming the rifle.

"Yes?" He said.

"You're a killer! A murderer! Tie the man up now! We can't have this maniac going around!" The man said.

"Killer?" He said.

"That's right! You are now under prosecution, arrest! For the murder of at least a hundred!"

"What could you talk about? Where are you from?" Brick asked as they tied his hands with rope.

"You know what we're talking about. Outskirts of the city, you killed many men. And there was a woman with you, where is she?"

"The- the woman..." He looked down and he was upset.

"He must've killed her too... Come on! Let's take him in!" They put him on the back of their horses and began riding.

"I didn't kill her, I swear by it."

"Quit yapping away!" He kicked Brick.

"Wait- one more thing.. how'd you find me? And how'd you traverse from the city to me so quickly?"

"We know your location. Someone told us, we didn't expect it to be rela but we found you. And we move a lot faster than you do on your feet, and we ain't from that city."

"Another city? Where are you from than?" He asked.

"You'll see."

He was than sedated, and he woke up in a prison, in a room padded with no bars but walls everywhere. The place was dark and he heard a voice of one of the men who had imprisoned him, "With this money we'll be able to finally buy ourselves some land. To escape this place, live out as individuals and with our own way of life." The door than closes, sealing itself into the white walls of the light panelled room he was in. There was light everywhere, making the room extremely lit up and it was padded up completely with white, like a sort of chamber for the mentally insane. There was constant surveillance and everything was pristine and almost unnaturally clean. His clothes jumped into a sort of red jumper suit to identify him easily. The room was small and he could easily reach across the room with his hands. He tried to lay down but there was no comfortable way to sit or even lay down, the ground and walls were made perfectly in way that would never let him be comfortable. He sat in the cell in complete and utter silence, closing his eyes and thinking to himself. Eventually there was the sound of screams that he heard. A small part of the wall than opened, and out of it a small device came out that had a needle attacked to it. The needle immediately injected into him and he was again sedated.

He woke up facing a bright white light and tied down to a chair. There were straps that tied him down and metal reinforcing the straps. There were than surgeons and robots all around him that had tools. The surgeon first cut into his chest, the surgeons blade stabbing into him. Than the blade began to direct towards his head. He managed to break through the straps and just before the blade could be lodged into his skull he grabbed the he knife, pushing. It back.

"He got out! How did he get out‽" The surgeon is yelled out. Brick than pushing the surgeon away.

"I'm not your subject!" He stands up off the operating table and walks away with his blood on him. Sirens began to wail and the room turned bright red and the windows and doors sealed by metal. He walked down the corridor and saw that the rooms were stained with blood recently and the white light that blinded was in every room, there were multiple different operating rooms all with their own tools and mechanical arms that moved around in their own as if they were doing surgery. There was than a large horde of people carrying guns that were all pointed at Brick. They quickly moved in towards him, in a nearly synchronized motion.

"Stop." They chant in synchronization, marching forward with their footsteps sounding like metal. Brick stopped in place, seeing as all the guns are pointed at him, "Detainment."

"Huh?" They begin to electrocute him, dropping him on the ground. They quickly detained him, "I understand.. I understand." He repeated. There was no response, and as he turns around he sees than that what was detaining him wasn't a man but was a machine. He intently wacks the machine in the face, dismantling it into pieces, "You're no man!" The machines all begin to fire on him and hundreds of bullets all go right through him. He pushes through the recoil of the bullets and rips through the horde of machines, tearing the machinery apart. He looks at the machine that has parts all around, the machines beeping and their lights dying down, "You are no man... A machine! This place I'm in, it must be run by these machines. Must've been trying to make me into one! And that scream must be form the men who found me... Those poor souls, lost." He walked through, finding a exit and he opens the door and alarms all go off and he reaches the outside. He looks around, there were lights all around and he was on the side of a incredibly tall building that was hundreds of feet in the sky. He looked around and he saw buildings that went on endlessly towards the sky and below. There were cars flying across the sky and advertisements everywhere, showing naked women and companies selling drugs and how far this society has deteriorated. There was an advertisement high up in the sky that showed a woman at the beach with a sort of virtual reality headset on and with the words, 'Come to the beach.' The place was infested with money hungry advertisements, enormous companies with no shortage of money trying to sell people things that kill them and things that give quick pleasure, trying to sell machines even that would do all their work. And there was no shortage of hungry people down below, on the streets were groups of beggars waving around their hands for something. They had nothing, as the architecture around them didn't let them sleep anywhere and some of the people were incredibly intoxicated, as though they didn't see the same reality as anybody else. He walked through the streets and he saw many people walking by the beggars, not doing anything and some of them even looking in disgust of these men.
