Universe (Part 10) (FINALE): Final

Chapter 95

Laz puts his hands down on the table, "You really believe these people can indeed be saved, by us?" He says to Brick.

"I'm sure." The sails were immediately set, as more boats were made and just as quickly as the problem was resolved they began sailing out East towards the other lands.

Boats packed with people all came out out on the lands, and they saw utter deception, "What has happen..." Laz says. The lands were burnt and charred, all black with clouds over the land and rain going down up on the black charred grass. They went over the hills and they saw endless amounts of fire that was burnt, but even more horrifyingly was the site of hundreds of crosses. On these crosses were people who were all tortured and crucified on these crosses.

"The crucifix... Just as the scripture depicted the death of Jesus..." Brick walked by the crosses, looking at the bodies as they were flailed and naked with their bodies all gone to bruising or missing parts from which the birds are from. Men and woman all alike suffered the same fate at the hands of another kingdom. The idea that most surprised Brick is the way they died, the crucifix. He wondered how these people died such a way, is it possible that these people knew of the scripture as well? Or the more likely chance, that the scripture is right. The scripture shows the crucifixion as a constant in this universe, showing even more so the truth that God does exist.

They walked through the bloodied lands of war and flames, looking for the kingdoms. It was only than that they found it, guarded by walls that were tens of feet high and several miles spanning all around the kingdom. An enormous village within the walls, hiding thousands of people and with guards in shining metal armor with spears and swords wielded outside the gates. There were red banners all throughout the outside, signifying they had found the Red kingdom. They match towards the front gates, with guards all pointing their spears at them. One of the guards on top of the wall begins to speak, "Who are you?"

"Well, you know we're not with those other kingdoms. Let us in, we're here because we come form another land." Brick yells out.

"My- it is true than. The other land is real... Let them in, they shall speak to the king immediately." The guard calls out and the massive grated fates open, allowing them inside.

They were all taken immediately to the large castle which was at the direct middle of the city, there were hundreds of guards all throughout the place and all with red painted over their steel armor and with red banners. The people were all held back and waited in the castle while Brick met with the king himself, "Another land?"

"Yes, I thought it would be possible that whatever war you have going on could end right here and now. We could end it, split resources y'know."

"It's not that. This isn't about resources."

Brick looked confused at the king, "Than what is it?"

"My father was killed in battle by a knight, leading charge. And his grandfather died of disease which came from bodies thrown over the wall by catapult from the knights. That catapult technology has since than been lost. And my great grandfather died when he was just about 19 years which he was stabbed in the back of his head and beaten by hired assassins. Than his father died by being fed to wolves as a lone stranded and naked man. All of them died because of the men in Blue. And to give up this fight would be to betray my entire bloodline."

"How did it all begin, the fighting?"

"The fighting? Well... None of us know. It all dates back so far that nobody ever documented it. All we know is-"

"To hate."

The king was silent, "Hate?"

"You ever loved an enemy?"
