Chapter 104

The gunfight continues with the two of them behind cover at a small stalemate as the two hid behind cover.

"Damn you." Ultra said, his gun smoking from the chamber.

"Listen right now Ultra. And you listen good."

"Listen to you for what? I have no need to listen to inferiority."

"Let me tell you something. Because even those you seem inferior can teach you something." Brick paused for a second. He took a few deep breaths, "Your path is blood ridden and you've done many wrongs. How many people have you tooken from? How many have you raped? How many have you killed?"

"All."

"Do you not feel anything? Surely you must!"

"Those lives are meaningless. A being like me is the one true being that matters, and all other life serves only as a means to satisfy myself. And to your brain it is deemed selfish, as you don't understand me whatsoever as I am superior to you. The greatest things that exist are those of worldly please, emotion. Your body seems emotions and so you shall give in to your body, and you'll see how the greatest things your body lingers for are only given by others. So that is why you take and you kill and you butcher them to pieces and do whatever you want to them. That is true pleasure. True emotion, stems from that, the true goal of life is that. And suffering is a true emotion as well, a pure one the two are opposite sides of true emotion, pleasure is what your body longs for and so you give into it, but it comes at the expense of others. Suffering is what the body hates and brings pleasure to me to see others in suffering. To see them in such an emotion that is so pure and absolute is what makes me happy, the feeling of being right. The feeling that there is something going on, that you control something someone does and that is right."

"You know how crazy you are?"

"You know how stupid you are? You will never understand such a feeling, feeling pleasure. You will however know suffering, more so than you already have known. And you are the last one of the bunch that is left to put out. I've been leaving it that way for a long time now, and after this you're going to be dipped in liquid pain, and sealed forever."

Brick turns himself, "Well you should've done so sooner." He peeks out and fires at Ultra's direction, the two of them firing bullets at one another until again the air is filled with gunsmoke and holes all at the spot that they were supposed to be at, "It ain't that we're missing, it's that we can't hit each other."

"We?" Ultra said, smiling. Brick looks and sees the barrel he stood at was leaking oil. He quickly dives out of cover as Ultra fires at the oil, sparking it and simultaneously aims at Brick and shoots him. Brick falls to the ground on his side and sees the bullet had gone through his stomach and put his back. He covers the wound and sees blood pouring down.

"Got me." He whispered.

"You stand for everything in the wrong stance. You think that happiness is brought out through time? You hate the pleasures of this world, you hate this world you live in, you despise everything about it. And you choose to live that way rather than spending your time indulging in what this world has got! C'mon now Brick! Don't another woman sound good? Don't taking revenge and killing every bastard you know sound good? Wait- you've done exactly that. You've killed every single man you've come across!"

"Damn you!" Brick fires at Ultra and multiple shots land, and he goes back behind cover.

Ultra runs again towards cover, surprised that Brick got him, "You may have got me! But you know you're wrong!"

"Maybe I am, but I change! You know- I change!" He yelled out to Ultra.

"It doesn't matter... You are just another nuisance! A son of a bitch! Some wretched that means nothing!" Ultra finally steps out into the open. Brick peeked out of cover for even a second and immediately a volley of bullets came his way. He quickly goes back to cover as Ultra continues pushing on towards him while he began monologuing, "The greatest feelings are those that come from me! And me only! There is nothing! When you die there is only me! I am eternal, I have been here since forever! I am not leaving anytime soon! I am feared by all! You included, you know you're afraid!"
