The limo drives onto a less busier street. The roads are lined with tall trees and flowers decorating the area.
"I'm seeing more greenery now." Malleus observes. "It's so quiet out this way, like the bustle of the city was just a dream."
"Hey! Look at that big park!" Grim points out the window.
"Wanna walk through it?" Kalim offers. "My house is right on the other side!"
"Great idea." Cater grins. "Pretty parks are always photogenic!"
"All right." Kalim nods. "I'll tell the driver to stop and let us off here."
The limo pulls over and your group piles out of the car. The park is absolutely stunning, with white stone paths and arches, statues of different animals everywhere and a very large, gorgeous fountain. A decorated peacock statue is at the top, spraying water everywhere.
Malleus walks into the shade. "It's certainly still hot outside."
"Yeah." Trey agrees. "Good thing there's this canopy over the promenade. We can have a nice walk in the shade."
"If we keep following this path, it'll take us right to my house!" Kalim points out.
Cater runs up to the fountain. "Ooh, nice fountain. Just the thing for cooling off. That peacock statue's pretty rad. It'll get me some likes for sure!"
"What a splendid fountain sculpture. It's no gargoyle, but fascinating nevertheless." Malleus walls over to the fountain. "I think I'll take a closer look."
"Careful, Malleus! You'll get wet!" Jamil rifles through his bag while he races to catch up to Malleus. "I've got an umbrella! One moment while I... Hm? The spray is going AROUND him?"
"It's a trivial spell." Malleus glances over to Jamil with a grin. "Are you all right though, Viper? You're soaked. It's not good for you to walk around that way, even in hot weather."
Jamil sighs. Being so close to the fountain has gotten him drenched. "Great, now it looks like I'm the one who went for a romp in the fountain."
"Jamil carries an umbrella even on a clear day like this?" Trey questions.
Cater chuckles. "Talk about ready for anything."
Kalim holds your hand. "Come on, Y/N! Let's join them by the fountain!"
You laugh as Kalim pulls you along. "But won't we get wet?"
"But that's the best way to cool down on a hot day like this!" Kalim spins you in a circle, dancing in the spray of the water. "Aren't fountains the best? They're so fun. Jamil and I used to play here all the time when we were kids!"
Jamil folds his arms, smiling slightly at the memory. "Yeah, and I'd bring a change of clothes and towels to dry you off."
Trey snickers. "Ah, so the umbrella's for Kalim specifically."
Malleus brings a hand to his chin as he observes the fountain. "The fountain uses waterspouts to represent the peacock's tail feathers. It's quite well made."
Jamil nods. "It shoots out jets of water once an hour. And it's lit up at night to make it look more like a colorful peacock."
"Mrah..." Grim eyes the fountain. "I've been feelin' all gross ever since I fell into that canal. I can't take it anymore!"
Grim races over to the fountain, jumping over the edge and splashed into the water.
Cater jumps, avoiding the splash Grim made. "Whoa! Grimmy jumped into the fountain!"
