Shadowlands

You walk into Savanaclaw with Trey, Cater, and Riddle. They lead you to the pool outside the dorm where the next group of boys who'll watch over you wait. You giggle as you run around the Heartslabyul boys feet. They stop walking and greet the other dorm.

Riddle nods his head. "Good morning, Leona. And to you as well, Jack and Ruggie."

Ruggie gives a halfhearted salute. "Hey, Heartslabyul gang. How's it goin'?"

"It's good, all things considered." Trey chuckles as he adjusts his glasses."

Jack glances down to you who's just running around the group. "So, Y/N tried to stop Grim from drinking something and this happened?"

Riddle sighs, folding his arms. "Yes."

Leona rolls his eyes with a scoff. "That little weasel is just a walking disaster at this point."

Cater plays with a strand of his hair. "Say, Leona, I would have never taken you for a babysitter."

Leona shrugs his shoulder. "It's a free day out of school."

Ruggie cackles. "Classic Leona. Willing to do literally anything else besides school."

Riddle quirks an eye. "What about you, Ruggie? Are you only watching Y/N so you can get out of school?"

Ruggie cheekily grins. "Well, there's that, and it also seems fun."

"Oh yeah, it definitely was lots of fun." Cater chuckles. "Who knew Y/N was such a creative little kid?"

Jack tilts his head. "Really?"

Trey nods. "She has a big imagination and comes up with many ideas for games. I guess it makes sense knowing she's artistic."

Riddle checks the time with a hum. "You'll have to find out for yourselves. We have class to attend shortly."

Trey calls you over and kneels down. "Y/N, you'll be staying with Savanaclaw today and these guys will take care of you."

You frown, feeling a little sad. "So you aren't staying?"

Trey shakes his head. "No. I have classes I need to go to."

"But will Riddle and Cater stay?" You ask.

"Sorry, Y/N." Cater smiles sadly. "We also have classes."

Ruggie kneels beside you. "Hey, you'll still have fun here. I promise."

Riddle smiles softly. "We'll still see each other again. This isn't goodbye forever."

You start to smile. "Okay. So this is goodbye for now?"

Trey chuckles. "Exactly."

You make sure to hug each of the boys, waving to them as they leave. When they're gone, you turn to the Savanaclaw boys. Leona has a bored expression on his face while Jack and Ruggie look a little unsure what to do.

Jack rubs the back of his neck. "So, uh, what now?"

Ruggie shrugs. "Dunno. I helped out with the neighborhood kids but I only had to entertain them for a couple hours. Not a whole day."

Jack looks to Leona. "What do you suggest we do, Housewarden?"

Leona only examines his nails. "You're the ones who signed up for this thing. Figure it out yourself."

"You signed up too!" Jack exclaims indignantly.

Ruggie scratches behind his ears. "Alright, what do we know about kids that can help us in this situation?"
